It looks plastic wrapped??? Ugh!
Maybe I used too much smudge in the sky.

I like the sun on the second picture! On the other hand the eyes on that seem to be a bit off. Angled and everything. Nice work though

The eyes were angled intentionally.
I was trying to give him an elven look.

Well the elves in the game I am working on do. According to the character description in the storyline.
I have submitted other pics of elves and the gripe from the rest of the team weas that it looked too human. They specifically said the eyes should be more slanted up.

I like the sky in both of them but as was stated, they do look a little plastic wrapped. I think the bottom elf needs more of a forehead though. Right now his hair line seems way too low. Also, on the second guy, I think his ears should be more pointed, and the mouth is at a weird angle (maybe?). But god job none the less. I like the fur in the first one, it just looks a little blurry.

Hey everyone thanks for the crits. I'll be experimenting with a different technique for clouds on my next pic.

Well, *cough* it's my first reply here, and maybe I shouldn't say a thing, but I think the elf's ear is bad positioned; to me it seems it comes out from the back of the head, weird...
