I wanted to try my hand at a more in depth background. It's also one of my my first attemps at doing clouds, I'm pleased with the outcome. I'm curious as to what your thoughts are.

drag the address below to your adress bar, and it should bring up the picture.

The clouds look good, and I love the range and strength of the colors you're using here. Is this an isolated image, or part of a series/story/project, etc?

Nice crisp work. Muy kudos.

I'm pleased with the outcome, too. Cool background. One note though, does the picture seem a little dark? I would expect a bit more contrast with highlights and reflections popping a little more.

Then again, maybe she's flying through a cloud shadow.

Then again, maybe it's my crappy monitor.

Good job.

thanks Pearce. I guess it's part of a series, I find myself returning to women with wings in my art everyonce and a while.

burnOut- sorry it's not working.

Waldo-I did do the background just a little darker than her to pop her out a bit. may It didn't work to well.

sorry you can't see it. I've been having trouble posting with geocities so I started using tripod. It dosn't seem to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

toast!- I love myasaki too. I havn't seen porco rosso, don't know where to get a copy. But I do like his other films.

(edit) when I have a second window open to tripod the pictures show up. but if it's closed they don't. weird.

thank you very much Jezebel. I really appreciate it.

geelimp-Thanks, but too green? Maybe so, I kinda like the look.

Sempere- I just downloaded the avi via FTP, (big download) and will watch it on monday.

A.Buttle- Nice observation. she normally flies with her legs back unless shess geting ready to land, which is what shes doing in this case.

re: Wings3

You have a very wide range of ability! Wings3 looks like a totally different artist than your cartoony stuff. Two syles for the price of one! what a deal.

You should do more with this moody black and white stuff - ever try sequential work? I'd love to see you do a Schuiten/Peeters kind of comic with these agent characters...

what a lovely piece

love it

it looks like the buildings beneath are done in a slightly different style than the rest of the pic and it collides not well in my neglectable opinion.

still al lovely image, don't get me wrong.

very very lovely

very nice Agent. I really love this one. So much energy and the colors are picked great! I really feel like I shouldn't but I can't help nitpicking... Her rigth foot is very boxed in on that roof, making two nasty tangents on the heel and on the front of the shoe. ouch! Also the perspective is a bit off in the right part of the picture, not much but enough to make it uncomfortable... Otherwise I think this is a wonderful executed image...

marc_taro- that's a good idea. I never thought of applying the black and white charcole style to sequentials. I just might try that.

topeira- I used some photo reference for the buildings which might make them look a little different, but I did want the background to be contrast a bit with the figure. to bring the figure out more.

BooMSticK- I'm glad you noticed that about the foot. I couldn't figure out why it kinda looked like she was standing on the roof. Thanks.
