I just came up with this idea for some art. What do you think?
There is a street where I live with nothing but art galleries. I am thinking about doing an art show on the street. I will call it
" public service announcement " .
I will make hundreds if not thousands of xerox copies of certain sayings and tape them up all over the street late at night on one block of road. I hope by the end of the night the entire street will be covered. These are some of the sayings.
" pollution " just a pieces of paper with the words pollution on it as big as it will fit. I will paste this on every car on the street.
" Rules " I will post this on every sign on the street.
" Think More " misc. can be posted anywhere.
" Why are you here? " misc. can be posted anywhere.
" Is this street your life? " misc. can be posted anywhere.
" You are here" with a picture of a brain on the piece.misc. can be posted anywhere.
" Thought Programming " Every advertisement on the street will have this plastered on top of it.
" You are dying" misc. can be posted anywhere.
" you are alone" misc. can be posted anywhere.
"Are you good?"misc. can be posted anywhere.
" Is this art?"misc. can be posted anywhere.
THese are just a few of the things I will put on the street...I have a ton more in mind. What do you think? Think it will get some notice? THink it says something...Do you think it is art? |

isn't that something you could get arrested for?
pasting paper to people's cars?
your intent probably wouldn't get acknowledged due to the amount of people being pissed off about paper all over their town...
You'd also have to be super-ninja quiet to get all that paper up at night without being noticed... |

that reminds me of a thing my friends and I did at our school.
Paper Graffiti.
since its illegal to do actual graffiti on properties and such we just did the graffiti onto a piece of big paper durring class and then taped it all over the school.

A better idea:
Why don't you just write it all over yourself and walk around naked outside the galleries. Now that would attract attention... |

ohh yah...I know it is overly artsy like you say faustgfx...but I want to get noticed so I can have a kick as gallery showing. If I piss off people fine. If I get arrested and am fined...that is cool too. It will be good publicity.

nickmarksdotcom: we actually have something like this here legally at some underground stations.. a tree or another object pastered with poems on small post-it papers.
Quite funny.. but noone is running around naked quite yet- damn.
