Arrrrrgh...Finished at last, after 7 Photoshop freezes, 2 full scratch disks (and I have 50 gigs....), and a whole lot of annoyance. The original was over 4600 pixels wide, so the details aren't so great.

Oh, and that irritating, obtrusive little signature.... My general policy is never to apologize for anything that isn't my fault, but it DOES look utterly retarded. It's there because I've been having plagiarism problems lately, and they've got me seriously PO'd at the world in general.

Anyway, I'm sure no-one's reading this anyway, so on to the picture:

Sorry. I didn't mean to offend any goths. If I could, I'd re-name this thread. Maybe 'This is for you, Enayla', since Enayla loves wings so much. But I can't, so...my apologies to all goths.

the only goth here is visigothan and he's a fake like no other. apparently i'm goth as well according to some of the posse here but i've not noticed anything like that in my 18 years and 6 months..

I just have to comment on this (I'm leaving town for a couple of days, but I haven't left yet - though I will in a few minutes)

Okay... with that out of my head, I feel I have to say something more... Um... I don't think it's gothic. I think it's dark, beautiful, and moody - which is something that a lot of people connect to "gothic". I also think it's one of your best pictures so far. I like. Lots.

Well I like it. I don't claim to know what is or isn't goth, but is that really what matters here?

All that matters to me, personally, is that the picture itself kicks so much arse. That's one fancy guillotine, it'd look excellent mounted on one of my walls. Well, if I could find one big enough.

I really love the webbed up woman down there... it almost looks like she's made out of spiderwebs. I like that.

Hey faust gothic is also a dark style of arcitecture like something you would see in batman ...goth was around before punk kids in dark cloths....this looks gothic to me

I don't think this is goth in that way milkman. I've seen lots of gothic buildings and this pic doesn't fit imho.
And I would think batman is more neogothic.

I like the pic. As for goth, I wouldn't know, since i'm not a goth, but the architecture style is definently 'gothic', like TheMilkMan. Much like Quake III is inspired by gothic architecture.

Socar- great pic! And, it's funny, I went to a NIN concert in San Francisco last year and there were a ton of goths at McDonald's.

schabe--The picture does have a background story, but it's rather long. It's metaphorical, though--think sword of Damocles, here.

A. Buttle--I work at a large size because I am very clumsy, and couldn't possibly draw all the details smaller.
