Awesome! And I think the stark contrast between the figure and the background is called for in this image. And the texture work rocks! Great job.

Haha, it reminds me of Earthworm Jim.
I love the metal, it really looks the part. Personally, I think the violently red background works rather well.

GRID- I wanted something that would contrast with the dark metal. I tried a more desaturated red but it just didn't sit well with me, thanks fore your thoughts though.
Awetopsy- maybe it is time for another girl.
Switch-I love iron giant! nice robot pic.

Looks very cool, but to me the pure greys sitting in such a vibrant setting makes it look a bit like a cut-and-paste rather than seeing the character in the location. In reality, grey metal is never really just grey in color.
Row.

Nice. It's an interesting departure from your usual style and I think it works well. The lighting and textures are well done. Not too much, but not too little. Rock on.

This was inspired by several different things. Jon Foster, scud, anyway, I just wanted to do a robot and experiment with textures and lighting. I'd like to know what you think.
hopefully geocities is cooporating, I've had a little trouble lately with them.

very nice agent. Maybe abit too high contrasted? I see the inpsiration from Jon Foster, boy! that guy is good - almost as good as his first and foremost inspiration Phil Hale (the best!)

Sumaleth- I was afraid it might look like that. Would you suggest some red reflective light on him? I'm not quite sure what to do, let me know.
A.Buttle- I'm glad you like this departure. I like it, too. maybe I should try some more like this.
BooMSticK- I love Phil Hale's work. Does he have a book out? The only thing I've seen in print are in the spectrum books and some comic covers.

ok, I desaturated the background a little, and added a little red reflective light on the metal. How does it look now?
