Children of a Lesser God / The Name of the Rose.
Ack I *know* I should only have chosen 1 film but I find it very hard to choose which I like the best between these 2.

Rattmouth and Ian, those are some cool movies. if you like stuff like gummo, i suggest you see "Happiness," by Todd Solondz.
there are so many great movies out there its hard to pick just one.
my favorite movie at the moment is "Heart of Light." then coming in at a close second, "Men with Guns." |

Leolo...
a canadian movie well known in Europe.
It is a very poetic (though really sad and hard) movie about a boy's life in the suburbs of a Canadian town. |

Either Shawshank Redemption, or Fight Club. Both favorites but if I'd have to chose or more favorite it would be Fight Club. |

too many to even sort my list...not one fave, but one at the very top should be...
King Kong...The 8th Wonder of The World!
What the heck...might spur some interest for those wanting to see more movies...here goes in no particular order (though the first few are particularly memorable to me)...also kudos to others for already listing many of these
The Thing from Another World - the original Howard Hawks film that is so underrated - people's dialogue overlapping so realistically, great action and characters and good ol' sci-fi fun!
Kundun - An incredibly visual and intense film...an instant classic and one of the finest films ever made.
The Thin Red Line, Days of Heaven and Badlands - Terence Malick quickly rose to being one of my favorite directors based on these breathtaking films. The Thin Red Line is an example of pure cinematic achievement along with Kundun. Either you get it or you don't.
The Universal Monsters Classics
The Indiana Jones films
Alien and Aliens
The Abyss
The Iron Giant
Field of Dreams
Edward Scissorhands
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Jurassic Park and The Lost World (minus the gymnastic scene!)
Prince of Egypt (one of the finest animated films ever)
Lawrence of Arabia
Any Pixar Film! - especially the Toy Stories
T2
The Star Wars Saga of films
Jaws
Planet of the Apes (way underrated in terms of its cinematography, directing and editing)
Gladiator
The Matrix
Leon (The professional)
The Road to El Dorado - another fine animated film
Fight Club
Seven Samurai and other cool Kurosawa flicks
Bad Boys, The Rock, and Armageddon - not many people do action and use the visual space as well as Michael Bay - underrated and underappreciated from my professional point of view
The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth
The Muppet Movie
The Wizard of Oz
Snow Falling on Cedars
Superman
The Fifth Element
The new Mummy films - everybody needs a good adventure to make them feel good!
Jason and the Argonauts, Sinbad and other Ray Harryhausen Classics
Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction
The 13th Warrior - again, an underrated picture...Bulywyf (the lead Viking is especially cool and John McTiernan manages to yet again use the environment as a character as in...
Predator
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
Dragonheart
The Killer, Hard Boiled, Better Tomorrow Series, Face/Off, and M:I-2 - John Woo is so visually arresting!
The Last of The Mohicans
Heat - another fantastic Michael Mann film
Baraka
Chronos
Blade Runner
E.T.
Top Gun
The Mask of Zorro - a great treatment of a classical character who influenced Batman Creator Bob Kane
Braveheart
Sleepy Hollow
The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Traffic
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Unforgiven
Ghostbusters
Disney's Tarzan
Seven
Men In Black
Chasing Amy
The Lion King
The Wizard of Oz
Ghost in the Shell
The Goonies
Casablanca
Grave of the Fireflies
Disney's Hercules
okay...I better stop before I get my @$$ kicked...but figured some of you might love to rediscover some old classic faves or learn some new ones!

My mind always jumps around on what my favorite movie is. It' usually the last really good movie I've seen.
I though FIGHT CLUB was amazing, although that's the las movie I saw (this morning, accually)
Like everyone else, I love the MATRIX.
THE FIFTH ELEMENT will always have a home in my heart.
PRINCESS MONONOKE was pretty damn cool.
For some reason, I really liked MICHAEL.
CLERKS, MALLRATS, CHASING AMY, and DOGMA are just plain cool.
I could go on for a long time like this, but I won't.
Eek! I almost forgot CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON.

I was gonna put that, but then I remembered something about how I thought the ending was stupid, although I forgot what happened. |

huhu, its hard to keep the singular...
lots of great movies are listed here: alien1-4, t2, fight club, but the best movie is the exorcist, as i once mentioned.
some other points:
-lots people say alien4 is the worst alien movie. i very like alien4. what do u think?
-vertigo: great film but creepy colors... it runs within 'twelfe monkeys'. i like 'twelve monkeys' more than 'vertigo'.
-pi: great film but stupid end. |

Hey, they all named one film...it's just some folks named quite a few one films.
And someone else has seen The Holy Mountain! That is one damn strange film. Actually not that strange after the first twenty minutes. And it's also very funny (in its own way) |
