This second one is from March 3, 2001. The drawing was a 2 hour study and was done in ebony pencil and white pencil

This is another one of her from February 15. This one was a 30 minute study with vine charcoal and charcoal pencil.

you have a great sense of lighting and shading.. i like the style even if it is a bit rough. sometime try being a bit more forceful with your linework. take risks. so what if you screw up. there also seem to be a few issues with foreshortening on the faces. i know it is hard...
really quality stuff. keep it going.

oh yeah, and one more thing. something i always neglect in my drawings: the figure you are drawing is somewhere. not in space. not in a black cloud of voidy gook. use the surroundings in your coposition, even if they are reduced to blocky geometric shapes. if the subject is fully shaded, don't leave the background looking complete 2d. yes, i do understand the drawings are timed... i'd like to see some gestures if you'd post them up

All right here ya go.. really quickly shot them with my digital camera... original res is 1200 x 1792.. so if you want to see some larger ones, i can post em. These gestures are anywhere from 1 minute to 5.. The shaded one could have been 10, I'm not sure.

In the third one, her calves seem to be way too thin, or you made her ass and hips too big, or she has rickets.

I need to do more figure drawing . . .
