Welp, times up for me to work on this little lady. I tried to make the changes suggested from over in wip but I'm not sure if I did a good job or not :/ Thanks to everyone for their help over there!
Basically this is one of the characters for the greek-themed Q3 mod I'm working on with Artemis Software.
www.artemissoftware.com - We haven't gotten around to updating our page in a while, expect an update within the next 1-3 days
Anywho, here's miss Anaea.
Crits and comments, rants and raves, etc etc...

Only thing that struck me was left eye being a little bigger than right - but oh what eyes! I'm a sucker for green eyes.
Good shading round them too.
I like it a lot.

Well this girl sure isn't very popular, and I thought she was pretty damnit!!
shamhead - Thanks a lot! Please let me know if you figure out what's wrong.
Axl - Thank you! And yeah, she's got her head tilted down a bit.
Jason - Thanks! I think the eyes and lips are my favorite part. I sort of got the impression that the text distracted from the picture as well... but I need some way to put her name on her in a nifty way. Perhaps I can sort of frame it instead. I'll figure something out that looks nicer. Btw, I love your work
Oli_D - I'm a sucker for green eyes myself, that and really icy blue eyes. Hmm... and yellow/amber eyes... and deep chocolately brown eyes... and violet - Ok I'll stop there. I just love eyes!
*smiles sheepishly* Any more comments out there in sijun land?

Well, I meant also from the comments I received in WIP and friends I've shown it to, not just here I think that overall, people prefer to see different types of pictures from me.
Trust me, I love every little comment I get, even if it's to tell me her face is funky

Looks great axcept for the eyes. I mean the green is great but they look like they're pointed in different directions and a little too far apart. other than that its awesome. |

Are we supposed to be looking down on her slightly? The reason I ask this is because if we're looking full face I think her ear would bigger and slightly lower down. Also her chin looks long and pointy to me but then again maybe that's how you want her to look.
I like her lips and eyes and the necklace looks very good. The tattoos are a nice touch too they fit in with the quake3 look. |

Wow love those green eyes. They look like emrelds almost. I like.
I dont like the lettering in the picture. it distracts from the illustration. I think the text is great but its good enough to be in a sepret jpeg of its own.
I think if you whant her name to be in the pic. I would sujest incorperating it into being part of the picture.
The tattoo like markings are a great characture feature.
Jesabel, you realy have some great tallent. Was glad to run accross this. |

Bishop_Six - You are insanely silly.
Stuntcockj - Hehehe, you know... every time I look at this girl I get the feeling that I don't know if she is looking directly at me or if she is glancing behind me or off to my side. For a while I tried to fix it, but then I realized I really liked that about her! I like the fact that I don't know what she's up to and that it somehow seems like her eyes are moving around. My younger brother looked at it and said it creeped him out because he felt like her eyes were following him, but when he looked at her it didn't seem that way any more.
Flexible Elf - Thanks! I really hope that you do check it out. I know my opinion is somewhat biased but personally I think the whole concept is a lot of fun.
Thanks all!
Beth

I must admit that Im not a big fan of airbrushed charas (ya knows that I tends to the cartoony and stylist stuff... ) but this girl is really pretty.
The most I like is the "form of the hair" (sorry ; I have not that kind of vocabulary... )
The lips are very sensual too !!!
See ya !!!
And good luck with your mod !!!
It seemms a pretty good concept !!!

KeLLuSioN - Ok, well enough people have said something about the ear that I need to fix it somehow. So I'll try to lower it and then post the results later. Thanks =)
Sempere - Thank you! I'm actually trying to learn to steer clear of the "airbrushed" look. I always get really annoyed with myself when it comes out like this. Every time I paint a gals face it looks this way, hehehe. I like how she turned out though I'm quite proud of the lips so I'm glad you like them!
You should see the before and after of this girl... it is QUITE a change. The before is awful! As a matter of fact, I'll post it here just for laughs. This is the very first saved version, obviously not complete but you can see that it was looking pretty freaky, hehehe:
[edit: This is the before picture, the one posted at the top is the after, teehee. I think people are getting them confused and I dunno if that's good or bad ]
*crawls under her desk*
I think she looks 100 times better now

WoW! big improvments!
Especialy in the way of he hair. nice! the time it must have taken.
As far as the air brush look on this peace? Hog wash! I think it looks nice and not airbrushy.
I would suggest starting another one. Learn from mistakes, take into account what people have said and leave the ear the way it is. Make the next one even better. I just like this pic the way it is. (with the excetion of the big name there.)
keep it up! |

Yeah, big improvement
But, isn't that portrait made from the model you show me through icq? If you showed that we would really see the difference, don't you think? ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/biggrin.gif) |

The later version has more "glamour"... !!!
And dont *crawl yourself under your desk* !!!
This is not so awful, its simply.... mmmmmm... FREAKY LOOKING !!!
Gwahaha!!!!
See ya !

Jason - Thanks a lot, I'm glad you like the picture so much. Yeah, the hair did take a while, mainly because I wasn't sure how to go about drawing that hairstyle. I went around looking for references and none were very good. I ended up having to make do with a very poor quality 50x50 image or so. And I saw in another thread you told someone about this picture with the "pretty eyes" - Thank you!
TheMilkMan - Thanks Milkman, I think? do you mean the first one on the page or the first one I did? Hehehe.
Ragnarok - I would show the model but I'm not sure the mod team is ready to show pictures of it yet. Plus my skin is really bad, hehehe *hides* I might post it though, dunno yet!
Sempere - I'm gonna get you Sempere!
