(Some of you may recognize this from Francis' conceptual design forum..)

Here's something i sketched today, in about 2 hours.. Like the title says, she's fantasy, modernized a little bit. One of my favorite ideas is fantasy in our place and time. Wouldn't it be so cool to meet a person that's not all normal, and maybe has slightly pointed ears or a tail or something? Seems more real to me than an elf dressed up in a green tunic and brown boots..

Comments, critiques anyone?

Oh wow - thats pretty cool.

My advice on this is once again watch your proportions. I understand she is stylized but look at the length of the right forearm in comparison from the elbow to shoulder length. Also, you keep extending that neck.

In the words of Nova, "Nice sketchy sketch"!

Heehee.. just for me... thats funny...

You fixed the neck?
I dont see the change.

BTW - are those wings strapped on? Is that the two black lines I see go around the back? I want some strap on wings.

Keep checking for my work. I should be posting some of my stuff soon before I turn it in for the board game.

Looking good.
I like her eyes, shoes and wings.
The pose is good, but there's something funny going on with her head & neck. Neck suggests the head is held proudly up.
Are the boobs too close to each other?

And I think all the proper crits have been made.

Just a suggestion, I would like to see this pic painted with the new colors you are using, it would look great

Wow! Heh, i haven't gotten this many replies since the split..

Thanks guys!

Visionary: Ok, i guess they're strapped on.. what a neat idea! I've done something like that before with my Shayna character, but hers were implanted and reinforced with straps.. and yea, POST!

Ulic Qel-Droma: That's a huge complement, thanks I started at 1000x1000 for this pic, as i usually do. I found no reason to go higher. Then i cropped it off.. this is the original size.

Gecko: considered, shmanks

Ragnarok: Working on a color version today actually.. will post it soon

Slicer: lol.. oh jeez it does

Olve: thanks!

Wiked Ewok: Another great complement! I was looking to accomplish just that here.

Nova,

The only thing I see that's glaring is that the head needs to shift to the left more.

Good job. As I said before, you have a good sense for natural looking gestures. Keep it up!

Thanks for the help everyone.. i don't know what I'd do without y'all..

Visionary: Hmm.. mm.. update? Hehe.. I guess I should, huh? I've been working on a new site layout, and have been posting all my new stuff here. The guys, well.. they're for that mod team I told'ya about(?) and I need to contact my boss guy before I can release them online. Funky stuff.

Lunatique: Thanks! and fixed..

Geez, i wasn't expecting to color or develop this much.. *shrug* But nonethless, here's the final version as far as I know..

Just to keep you busy, if you REALLY want to push across the idea that its modern...

put her in a city with people walking by looking at her with that "O look, another crazy in Seattle" look.

I think this would get across what you were thinking. Just a thought.

Nifty colors.

-Visionary

Or you could just have them checking her out and drooling... whatever works.
