Did a total remake of hte oilpainting digitally. I like it better now.

Have not yet adjusted brightness and contrast for print yet, so it might appear a bit greyer than it should on some screens.

Veb you should save these posts until more of the really good people start coming back to the boards you can get better crits that way...anyways I think it looks great..the way the girls leg bleeds into bottom half bothers me...seems to me that you should have it fade out into shadow....know what I mean??? Looks great over all though

{edit} veb to me it looks like you almost used the smudg tool to ....hmm almost looks like to try to blur out he bottom but it just looks like scraped paint...might want to think about sharpening that area up a little

I really like this. It's much better than the original. Now we have a duo! Though I think there should be more dead bodys due to the additional character. The woman looks really good. Though she looks like she is painted a little softer/blurier than the man. Sharpening/defining the edges may help.

Very nice as always, background is just great....but i think the woman needs some more work to fit in, and i see the classic Frazetta dead mans hand under the tree

i like everything except for the bottom where her legs seems to be engulfed into blood or whatever that is, and her legs look really blurred, you might want to keep the same sharpness throughout the picture, its really hard to tell what that at the bottom is supposed to be

omg that is so cool, i am thinking that we may have another Frazetta or Boris in the making. I agree that the woman needs a little bit of work just to define her a bit more, i think the main areas you could try to redefine is around the chin and chest area.
Anyway amazing work. The main figure is just so well painted, Kudos

OK, I agree with Milkman..but, there are few professionals on the forum so it's appreciated. No, really it's good work. I wish I could post this painting that I did for a game but it's still in the works so I can't post it yet. It's along the line of sword & sorcery painting. Man, you're like the Frazetta incarnate - more so than Boris. Heard from Frazetta's wife that when they opened their museum in Pennsylvania,on the opening day Boris and his family showed up -how quaint.
Meet the Master ya freakin' @#$%*!! I don't care for Boris at all as you can tell. Ed--

That's slick as always. Girl looks flat compared to the guy. Why is she partially illuminated more than he is? You might want to muck with that, but I love the sky.

Nice pic Veb, my only crit would be that the woman seems very flat compared to the main character..
Also, Maybe give the warrior a lil more of a neck..

Thats my 2 cents, great pic though
Keep em coming

I have really liked a bunch of the paintings you have posted in the past but I feel like this one is lacking compared to the others. The background is really nice but the foreground is confusing. I really don't care for the colors but that is a personal thing. If this painting were to stand with other artists in a exhibit I would think it to be really good but if it were shown with more of your pieces I don't think I would like it. Individually I think the form is great and the style is very nice but something about the compostion and lighting does nothing for me. To be more specific the composition in my mind fails due to its collage feeling or like each object/person exists in their own picture and has been brought into this scene at the last second. The people feel almost foreign to each other. Sorry I'm rambling. Can't wait to see more.
