Wow, this is great.

It has a ton of style. I would love to see an entire animation done with this look to it.

great!!!

awesome head
although it looks some kind of 'wooden' to me... ...but maybe its just this that make the rendering so cool

huh. looks like one of your paintings.
the nose seems too simple in form, this applies only to the side view. from front it goes with the rest of the pic.

Where's the background? :P:P
uh, j/k

This is incredible.. and it's so good to see a 3d head which actually has character, with so many bland heads out there.

This is so neat, it doesn't even look 3D to me. It just looks like a painting of the same guy from various angles. Very very cool

He looks like he has a cold or something though, but I like it!

very nice.. Specularity is a bit strong though, could use some more definition in that area, while his skin looks leathery I dont think it would be shiny all over, try some specular maps on the nose, forehead, maybe a bit under the eyes, etc.. wherever skin might be tight and worn, looks great so far tho!

Really cool, hehe that nose is great. I miss characters like this, everyone is going realistic 3D lately. Can we expect to see the rest of the character anytime soon?

whoa, thanks for all the feedback!

i like the fact that quite many of you think this looks like a painting. that was definitely my own goal too, alongside with the stylished look.
hopefully i can get back to this as soon as possible to finish it up.

guy: it's lightwave6.5 ... and heh, yep i'm the one responsible of the grey tongue guy in lapsus(eetu constructed the scene/rendered the texture though).

That head oozes style and character. It reminds me of a marionette head out of an East European short film/animation. I think it would look cool if your animation of this character emulated the movements of a puppet on strings.

I would love to see an animation when you have one.

Excellent work..... and yes, it does look painted even though it is a 3d render.
