I made this today, don't know quite what to think. Aside from the engine, is what's going on here interesting or funny at all?

A few sujestions if I might. First is I would love to see some movement added to the pic. Like the engine and the monkey were flying along and then to have the monkeys face skreaming with terrror would be a great site. Another way I invision the image is to have maybe just a man sitting on it and with the image in the state it is in now, giveing the message man and his engine?

I love the rendering of the engine. VERY TIGHT!

Heh.. looks like a cross between planet of the apes and Dr. Strangelove.

:P

Um my crit would be that it seems two dimesional.. Id like to see this from an angle that looks up at the monkey from say 45 degrees to his left and you see the Rocket at a wild perspective...

Tis a cool pic tho.. I kinda like the way it mixes Tech with nature.. it seems to work just the way it is.

lol...I love it. It looks like he's riding a motorcycle that just happens to be a turbine engine. It has that odd British/Monty Python art feel to it. Love it.

Jason- thanks for the comments.
I think I try to challenge myself to make something that is interesting but not for the most obvious reasons. Maybe it's more absurd that the monkey is just sitting there. The chimp is a man, sort of, only he's further away from the technology of the jet engine on the evolutionary ladder. I don't know, maybe it's not working very well. I am listening to everyone's help, however, and am using it to improve my work. Thanks, GP

nice picture. I recommend you tune the monkey a bit. Now it looks bit pasted on top of the engine anh he doesn't have too much personality.

If he either was clung to the engine and really hanging on it

or

more absurdly was more obviously lazily and nonchalantly sitting it could be funnier

good pic anyway

very nice although it would look REALLY good if you added some flames or something out the back and the monkey holding on for dear life instead of justing sitting easily on top

very pro rendering (2d of course, not 3d, gosh that annoys me how those terms are mixed - but I always want to say rendering when someone draws something very detailed) lacks a bit in the stimulus department, but that alone can be a stimulus, it's up to you and what you want to say with it
