Well, i did this today. I did use a photo refrence although i only used it when sketching it out and the water colors. So hopefully you'll like this one, its a bit rough:

very nice, although the pic looks a little lifeless, maybe add some gulls or something flying along in the background or a bird pirched on the tip of that boat?
