well this forum is a great source for inspiration... original render done by Ed Lee (hope you don't mind Ed) and the alien... it must be Giger's thing.

cool... did you remake the 3d scene that ed made?? OR did you just paint an alien in it?? Or did you painting the whole thing all together?? Ahh well either way looks cool whoever made what... |

Very nice, very moody and creepy.
It's interesting to compare it to Ed's rendered scene, Leo's has the same angle and colors and focal element. But when I looked at Ed's I was suprised at how completely different they were.
Also didn't quite get a sense of scale at first. I thought the Alien's legs would be below the ground plain, then I realized it was probably quite close to the viewer, and this is an extremely large place. |

Very nice. I agree with kreuze that the scale isn't very easy to read. Might have something to do with the alien being placed quite low in the perspective. Other than that, its a awesome pic.

Ok, you're mad as a hatter :) splendid painting from the previous 3D rendering again...
but yeah, to join the choir I would have loved to see the alien from a different point of view like "from behind and slightly under".. Just to bug you real bad y'know ? :p

thx people!
InKey: Nope... once again this is original resolution. Ask Ed for clean scene
Gecko: i dunno, maybe Ed already removed that pict from his place. But render is really neat! And Zergs feeling... yeah i've changed original alien concept a bit.
SoMK: try to get Aliens on video tape... i'm too lazy to regenerate another view
Kreuze: the initial idea was to place alien like he stands up from a hole in the floor but later i decided put him a bit close to viewer.
Plouffe: what a fun would it be to paint over the render?!

very nice. I agree on the alien size thing, could probably just move a bit upwards. But, it looks great
