Welcome to Draw Club.

  • First rule of Draw Club, you do not talk about Draw Club.
  • Second rule of Draw Club, you do not talk about Draw Club.
  • Third rule, if you just read this message, you have to draw.
  • Fourth rule, you can draw in whatever style at whatever speed you wish as long as its on topic.
  • Fifth rule, there is never a fifth rule.

This month's assignment: Time to take things up a notch....Draw something you have never seen before. Be it in real life, in the movies, in the books, drawn somewhere else, if you've seen it or something that looks like it, you can't draw it. Something original and not derivative of anything else...(as much as possible, since its pretty hard to be 100% original) This can be a character or an environment. Abstract art is not included in this, since a billion different things can be created. It must be something that has mass, form, shape.

[edit] Ok, i just read this again, i'd like to rephrase, try your hardest to make it not derivative of something you've seen. This is actually a real hard thing to do, so if what you come up with is a little familiar, don't feel bad [/edit]

NOTE!: Please do NOT save spots in this thread

November Archive still to be added, been busy. If you are unclear as to what this is all about check this thread: http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/Forum2/HTML/005581.html
It has some more information.

You have until March 1st to finish this, so take your time.

Go.

umm...ok...great topic...but how do we draw something if we have never seen it before...how do we know what it looks like to draw or paint??...dont we usually draw things we see or have imagined...if we have imagined it we cannot draw it because it is usually inspired by something else, if we see it we cannot draw it coz we know what it looks like...arent lots of us inspired by what we see in the world??..im confused....no worries....ill think of something...
cheers

But after I've drawn it, I would have seen it ... making it not valid for this competition.

If someone else has... well... demmit! *grin*

Big version

I didn't take my time. Sorry. Sometimes this just happens

Hey now... I see those all the time man! They get stuck in the ether vents of my space house!!! I have to use a space shovel to get them out. I wish my robot butler wasn't so lazy!

Spiritual_Chaos, your wood etc is very good. But the eye is a bit unsharp and it unfortunately does not look like a mirror.

I have 1 question for you; Could you please mail that Playstation-font to me at [email protected] ? You would make me very happy with it, thanks.

Keep practicing on the eye! Practice makes perfect!

I have to admit, I am still a bit confused by this topic.... hmm... I'm trying to come up with something but everything I think of seems too much like something else. :/

I've certainly never seen anything like that, frost.

P.S. I'm toiling away on mine as we speak.

I've got a great idea to draw, but it's hard to draw kinda, considering i've never seen it before. You know how sometimes, when people are mad, they tell you to shove whatever up where the sun don't shine?? Get the idea? I think I may have a beard, lol!!!
im just kiddin, havin' some fun.

cool theme for this one (my first). I think i'm actually starting to get the hang of this painting thing. I'm still pretty poor with color, but I'm definitely improving

I have no idea what it is. I just started drawing and this is the result. It could be some sorta flower or organic being or maybe even a cellular virus or an alien plant. Who knows, noone's ever seen it.
