here's what I found in the archives ... now that the movie's been in the theaters, it should be ok:
reference used: old postcard - yeah, that's reference that we like! that production didn't shy away from the most expensive solutions to get their images right.
this is supposed to be a nightshot, but I don't know how your monitors are calibrated - those colors are soooo iffy ... oh well, just take it into PS and correct to your liking.
btw ... teeny weeny update on my webpage too!

Loki, when do you sleep?
I have an old school matte painting (on glass) that I was thinking of posting along with a lengthy description of the process, but it pales in comparison to this so now I'm not so sure... 
Great job by the way and thank you for your site. I visit it quite frequently for helpful tidbits... |

very nice Loki !! Is everything painted ? Would be great to see the reference you used.
The movie wasn't all too good, but all in all entertaining, I think. But, I guess that's the part you don't really care much about, as long as you get a chance to do a great painting and get your payment

Just the idea of doing a painting where you're totally responsible for making it look "real" so frightens me. Nice image Loki. Thanks for supporting the economy.
