Hello, all. ;} wow. the responses keep coming. Thank you!!!!!!!
But first off, I'll add to the responses meself... ;}
frost, travis, adezj, ashburn, merlin: THANK you. ;}
CAP!!!!!: Nerfherder! geez. *blush* ;}
...you have a lovely singing voice, btw...
Bugscratch: okay, okay. ;} Tutorials. Check. Stay tuned. Same 'Kat time. Same 'Kat channel.
And, yeah. I feel that same way when I look at Mullins' work... *sigh*. ONE day I will get that good... at lease I have about 11 years for improvement before I'm his age.
nova: you're trying to pick apart MY style? wow. what a compliment. thanks!
Okay, just to update, I should be able to finish the corrections (and a couple of additions to details. sorry. couldn't contain myself.) tonight. I might even get to one of the tutorials but no promises, okay? ;}

Think I managed to remember everything...
hehehe...
Gun all better now?
The 'neko neko wai!!!' keychain and danglecat probably is lost on most of this forum. That was just an in-joke/fad/craze/mantra to an anime forum I like to frequent. Sorry for you die-hards out there who didn't want plastic cuteness in the pic. ;} But look at it this way, at least it's all beat up. I just wanted to add a bit of Tank Girl, I guess. ;} It's my kinda humor.
Fixed the eye, methinks...
Rock. You know you love it. ;} |

I'm "speakless" too!
Great job on the gun now - the subtle reflections are top notch! "Kats the other white meat..." - lol. Really great!
If I had to make some crits, I suggest that you would make her lower leg (knee-to-foot) a bit longer, it seems a bit short. Maybe its just me tho..

hehe. ;} thanks!
I think in the grand tally of things, this pic took me about 30 hours. it just seems like forever because it stretched over a couple weeks, with 10-12 hours a weekend, and 2 hours every other night or so. With work slamming me hard, it was tough to muster the energy to get to it late at night.
And as for the rocks, I think I'm going to be very unpopular. With everything else going on right now, it's really too much with the other tutorials.
Will still be doing a tut of the gun, tho. And if you like the hair, I might do one on that. Most people like Enayla's style. I, myself, really do too. I'm pretty in awe of it, and study it tremendously. But for the subject matter here, I made it clumpy for a reason. And if anyone likes it, I might show you how. ;}
[edit] oh, and I'll be outta town this weekend, so the tuts will have to be next week. sorry! [/edit]

Cool, stuff. This thread has had a revival..
The leg looks like the shin bone is bent? almost right, congrats on choosing a challenging position.
Did you purposely change the sky where it meets the rock? Was it and accident or was it for contrast? so that the rock had definiton....

Very Nice,
A few observations.
I think the contrasts from dark to light all over her body are a bit much, too many whites. It makes her look a bit bruised and lumpy. Too many undulations in her tones.
I think the gun looks a bit soft and organic looking, it could use a bit more definition in places, I also think it suffers from some perspective proplems. It could use some very hard mechanical highlights.
I also think your background is unresolved. It could use a little more even handed treatment all over. It seems to go in and out of focus too much. And it feels, well not as confident as the rest of the pic, however if this is your first attempt at a landscape, its the beginning of good stuff from you.
At first I didn't care for the composition, it would be difficult to pull this off, the leg seems so dominant it sort of takes over the picture, but I have grown to like it more. My wifes first reaction was the legs were different lengths, but I think its composition thing, or optical thing.
I also think her eyes are a bit too far apart, I think the rule is an eye width apart. But that might be personal preference.
Some of the rendering is gorgeous, and it's obvious drawing comes second nature to you, but I think this piece can be a lot better. Give it a rest and come back to it.

fucking amazing, man. totally great. it look's greater when i see what u did with the smallest details in the close-ups. it's a shame u can't post it somehow in full size cuz no one has a screen that big to see the whole pic.
i have a few comments but they r so neglectable so i wont post them. it's so good. where r your other works?? do u have a web site? wanna c more.
