At first i appologize my english, SAME.
Ok, here is a study of "how does the aging effect to face"
Any comments are of course wellcome, but most of all i would like to have critics, of what i've done wrong, or what i should fix..
(joachim.. i hope that you help me with this one, 'cause you just seem to handle human anathomics so well.)

Try using a large brush to block in big areas of shadow and light, then the smaller brushes on top. Looks like you have a pretty good understanding of proportions, focus on light. Look to real life to find your answers. Have fun. -GP |

Are they supposed to be the same person? Because right now they all look like completely different people. |

Yes, they are sopposed to be the same person.. And if you happen to have any kind of suggestion of, HOW i could make them look similar, i'd be very delited..

The thing that throws me off is that the second one looks like a girl, the other ones look like guys...
Good handle on proportions though.

well, I'm no anatomy expert, neither am I a good teacher...but thx anyway
ABout your drawings....believe it or not, but I was too lazy to notice that it was a age study until after I took a look at your drawings. But, I don't think that matters too much.
I think the basic elemtne, eyes, nose, etc are placed ok (now I'm thinking of how it looks, more than the aging study)...But, I think you should focus more on hos you define the elemts. Do a lot of nose, eyes and mouth study. The overall head, it could be good to do some loomis heads..a very nice training to get a better definition and stronger shape on the overall skull....also, you should work a bit on the neck, the size and how it works with the head...I did a veeery quick lineover(but, as I said, I didn't notice the age study before after, sorry)

I appreciate for your help joachim, and you're right about the neck. And when talkin about the nose, it has been always the ultimate challenge to me.
Anyway i borrowed a book from the library.. ANATOMY FOR THE ARTIST: Barcsay, jeno. I found it very beautiful book, a perfect book for me.
I'm going to start practising the nose, eyes and mouth, then the scull and end up to the hands and feets.
So, if there is any one who wants to share knowledge, post it here..
