This is my first 2d pic using the wacom. I'm more into 3D than 2D. The picture I used as reference for the body was very small and low res, so it didn't help much. I made up the head as I painted. I'm pretty happy with it at the moment, but any crit you have would be welcom.
Some of the edges may seem a little distorted, but that's just the jpg compression.

And if you're wondering about the title, it's a gag from "the fast show"

Might wanna decrease the size of her breasts a little.

nah, her boobs are fine. haha, yah ver very short...errr yah..hahah. everything is good i like it....only thing that I would change is her eyes...they look a bit far appart..if u moved em..just a TINY bit closer that would be good...anywayz good work

Depends on the frame, Faust.

Nice pic overall, although I have to agree that the dress is pretty short. I think she'd have a hard time actually going out and doing anything in that without being indecent.

On the other hand, it could figuratively be a piece of lingerie... in which case it would be fairly conservative.

Hey all! Thanks for the input. I've made some changes in the last 10 minutes. I've re-positioned the eyes and made the breasts smaller, though I'm not sure about the proportions now cause the breasts were that big in the reference pic. You're right shaithis. The dress is lingerie. So I left the skirt short. ok tell us whatcha think. better?, worse?

Yeah, I would get rid of the black outline and maybe um...make the skirt shorter.

Nice pic reminds me of Nagelish stuff in a way. I guess it's the border and black hair that does it.

For a first timer this is awesome. The shading is overall pretty nice. A bit blurred but not too much. Anatomy is also pretty solid, apart for some minor issues at the neck. but the only real problem is the lightsourcing. It's to even, and flattens the picture out. Some tips: her right shoulder should be left more in shadow. The same with the legs and lowerpart of the left arm, because here the light hits at a much lower angle... Light and form are the two most important thing to have in mind when shading this realistically and is pretty simple to describe but oh-so hard to get right.. you should just keep in mind that 'where the light hits form most directly will be the lightest in your image, and where the lightsource hits less direct will be darker'... A simplyfied version - Yes! But 90% of times this will do...

Your'e on the right track for sure... keep it up.

Wow! This thread's been busy! Yeah, I'm alot happier with the second version. As for the breast issue I kinda like them on the second pic, but it's a matter of induvidual taste. This picture was inspired by the works of Marcus Gray http://www.marcusgray.com
He uses heavy outlines on some of his pieces and I really liked the "poster" look it gave as Wyatt Turner mentioned. It also gives a sharp edge contrast compared to the first pic in which the edges look too soft. Thanks for your advice BooMSticK. I see exactly what you mean. Though the reference pic I used was one of those lingerie catalogue pics where the lighting is very even and spread out. The next picture I will work on will use dramatic lighting. As for my 3D stuff, I will get my website up as soon as possible and you can check out most of my work (what there is anyway).
