Hello everybody, I'm pretty new to this board. I've been hanging out here for quite some time, but this is my only Post that displays my two first pieces. I'd like to know what you think...

This piece is my first serious attempt at creating a detailed painting. I call it "Catacombs", but truthfully, I'm really not sure what catacombs are. So if this thing looks like 'em, let me know.

the second went a little bit faster after I had learned from my mistakes with the first. I call it "Icy Islands". They really aren't islands, because they are floating in air, but I couldn't think of anything else to call them so...

Click on the images for close-ups !!!

Miles

PS I've spent a lot of time on this board and digitalart.org, and this one kicks way more ASS!!!!

You should play with depth and perspective and then your images could have real atmosphere.

wow man, I really dig that second one. Reminds me of the last few levels of half-life, except wicked and stylized.

Very nice... but I would try harsher contrast/shadows...not everywhere tho... i guess it would create a feeling of distance
