Bwahaha! It's the "Lovecraft's Diary" font! I was going to use that too for some alien lettering... heh... you me, and probably a hundred other artists.

Flexible Elf: Man, I leave the forum for 2 days, 2 DAYS and you go posting cool stuff behind my back!!!
Excellent line work, I second the guy who mentioned Blizzard. With concept work like this you could get in anywhere!
Bg: Fantastic update! Also, must download your North & South remake as well! |

Isric, burnOut, Icannon> Thanks!
-
Seph> Heh, I got to it and I just decided to make it a nub. Earlier he must have used a finger as a material component for a spell
And, I've been real busy lately but I'm trying to get back into the swing of posting stuff again.
-
WICKED> I dig it so far! You have a good start. I like the uplighting alot. Finish! heheh.
-
Vortx> Thanks much man! It's still a bit sloppier than I could do it by hand but I really like how you can handle line weights with stylus pressure in PS. I don't have any nibs, just ball point pens. Hehe.
-
TheMilkMan> I just did it because I was bored and it started out mostly as a PS doodle but I expanded on it. I also really wanna sharpen my skills with the tablet and try to get closer to true pencil/pen/ink in PS. Mainly for the comic strip that's on hiatus because of other work/side projects. I would love to see Chapel and Liquid's versions, Liquid's got plenty of his own work to do though I'm sure, and some of my friends would probably lynch me if they found out he colored one of my pieces for fun
-
Bg> I love that! I like the paintover. Kick ass color usage! Love those jewels.
-
ceenda> Thanks, I appreciate it alot. I might have to give it a crack somewhere then
-
Gotta do some freelance but then I'll try coloring this puppy myself heh.

I used BG version as a basis and took 5 mins to show what my version would have looked like.....well close anyways . I am working on a huge project right now so hopefully I will be able to show off my own work soon.
Flex man you have to get a new image compressor that oen is shitty look at the artifacting in the sky.....bad bad bad....hope you have a better version saved!

That is a great pic. Looks pro, like the stuff inside warcraft covers and stuff. great job, this is really amazing that you drew it with a wacom; I am now convinced there is a way to do it so I am going to have to start practicing.
The colored versions only make it better. My vote is for the one with the snow and the fog. It was hard decision, since both colored versions were simply stunning. However, the snow one really gives out more mood and besides, warcraft = orcs = snow. |

FE: Sorry, I've got too much on my slate right now or I would have colored this. Maybe in a few weeks. Nice drawing though. |

Wow! for starters, and double Wow!?! for the wacom thing. *gasp*
I'd paint/colour it if I wasn't so snowed under. (save it to the "for another day" folder^_^).
you gots to do a tutorial on that fancy wacom line work, ma frend
actuialy I'd rather do my lines on paper for the simple reason that I hate staring at a screen all day, heh=D.
have you tried painter? it's only about ten times better for lines IMHO.

Thanks again for all the replies guys.
Yeah I haven't drawn much cleavage lately, I'll get right on it
As for coloring, it's all for fun. I know how busy one can get with side stuff
I like the approach WICKED, nice coloring job. I dig the snow
And for a tutorial. I might do something for it. Like I said before I think for some reason drawing with the tablet just works well with how I draw normally. I use real short strokes and pet my lines for line weight variation. I've also tried painter and it's pretty neat.. but I really like the control of the ol' fashioned paintbrush tool in PS. Painter is a great program, don't get me wrong. I just am so familiar with PS
Anyone else seeing the big red X of doom on the post? I wonder if geocities has banned outside img linking without telling someone all of a sudden. Hmmm.
