Saw this woman in the LA Airport last year. Did a quick sketch and finally painted it. She didn't really look this way, her hair was shorter. You can see the sketch version in my doodles gallery.

WOW!! Just got back from your site. You're a fabulous artist...! I'll be back to your site again and again and again...!
I love your painting here. Overall the whole thing just works, but upon disection things that really make it seem polished are the sparkles on the earrings/hairband (very nice!!) and the background. The way you did that fade and the use of color was just fabulous.
Would you mind explaining how you painted it? Like you did this in "real life" right, not in photoshop? What kind of paint? On what kind of surface? Thanks for sharing this and your website! very nice!

Whoa, I just checked your stunning website.. I think especially the oil paintings were incredible. I find it extremely inspiring to see such great works, it reminds me how far I am behind. I just decided to skip lectures and start drawing..
Some freak-looking bitch this lady, I wonder if I could recognize her if I saw her somewhere.. I like the squint-eyed stare.

Hehe, that's funny Seeg. =) Those earrings are pretty damn freaky. =) (oh, not to mention the neck. =)
Real great work on the lighting and shades although exaggerated for the charicature. The skin tone seems a little dull I think... maybe it's missing a subtle amount of saturation to detach it from the background a little? (this is a half question / half comment...)
Nice work! |

Thanks all for your kind words. This was fun to paint. I actually did record a script of this piece. Maybe I will post it in the future.
The Incredible MGC, sorry, the piece is all digital. Not photoshop. I never use photoshop to paint with. It is completely done in Painter.
Frost, thanks for the feedback. I get so involved in the painting that it is hard to see sometimes.
Thanks again guys.

love your work Seeg. I just found your site yesterday and I was wondering if I'd seen your name on this board! I really liked heaven and hell and the walkthrough.
If you ever post a basic painter tutorial (how to use the tools primer, eg how to paint an apple kinda basic) let us know!

I have been asked to do some more basic tutorials, I guess that I will.
Thanks for your compliment.
