I don�t want to appear rude, but I really think such postings are completely useless and somehow make me angry.
I draw on a pic for hours and post it here just to be pushed down in the list because of such pieces of "art"?
And if you don�t think it�s art, why do you post it anyway?

When I read the subject I looked forward to seeing a painted pic of eminem or whatever, but when the pic loaded up I was just disappointed!

Maybe I�m wrong, but I don�t think so!

This forum is a digital art board, and this is just annoying...If you are going to post something, please post something that involves some sort of artistic quality or if you want a crit, post something that could have design problems. What you seem to have missed is that this forum is open to new people when they draw or color - and when they make posts with drawings and/or colorings, they get constructive criticism.

It's not like that for a badly done photorape of a wannabe rap star made big by MTV. He manages to get his art and music tastes criticized in the same post.

And TweeK, that was an idiotic statement about not talking about 'fake music'. Let's put it in other context:

What if you can't say a movie sucked, you don't make them yourself. What if you can't say a game isn't fun, you don't make them yourself.

See the point yet?

I personally DO make my own music, I have an Ensoniq TS-12, Yamaha guitar (yes, I know it's cheap, don't bother pointing it out), two mixers, along with the software I need to burn a CD.

But that really doesn't mean anything in being a music critic. It's all personal taste, you may like Eminem, I can't stand the guy.

And now that I've rambled on off subject...

That art simply doesn't belong in this forum. I wouldn't call it art, personally, but that's to your discretion. My point is that if he's going to post, he ought to look around and see what the standards are. There are plenty of photo-collage forums around. He failed to do that, and caught the consequences in the process.

(Oh, and try to be less vulgar. I'm probably well under your age and still more mature.)

What say if I thought that your music sucked, would I have the right to say that you were a fake artist? Even eminem is an artist. He might be a commercial product but that doesn't change the fact he creates his own music and he's an hiphop artist.

The question what art is still isn't answered so I don't think that there's a reason to ban his work him from this forum. Photomanipulation and compilation is an art right?

Maybe his work isn't too good but why tell him that he sucks and go somewhere else.
We especially know how to help him and you send him away? I don't get you people.
