A routine patrol along the river... until
I know, I'm not very good at this art thing, and when I go back and look the few drawings I've done they always look worse than right after finishing...
I got tired of this one, was thinking of working up the detail and adding more barbarians/maybe dead bodies.. I did spend some time on this so Crits & Comments are very appreciated
thanks -JK

Looks ok. The receding shoreline should be darker than the front one. Also, the fire is.... a bit unrealistic. But hey, it works, but then again it looks too flat. Keep in mind that the fire is a light source and should be applied to its surroundings. Also, the skin on teh guys should be.... more shinier not so much pastely. This is because of the sweat and perspiration from hard battle and the fire on the left. Great work though. The background effects (small fires) are great and nice focus. Just try to add a bit more details. on the guy in the front. sharpen him up. |

Thanks for the comments . Yeah the back shoreline is too bright, though I'm not sure if you really mean darker than the front one? Everything's getting brighter as is recedes into the fog.
Maybe I could fix the flatness on the fire by a few other flames further back and grounded, and better blending into the smoke.
I was thinking dirty skin, there should be more variation though, sweaty shiny parts, parts caked with dirt..
Maybe I'll work on this one more sometime. Anyone have any more suggestions?
