Here's my most recent drawing. It would have been better if I could have colored the buggy, but my attempts failed.
I'm going to get some prismacolor colored pencils in the next couple of weeks... Is that a mistake? I don't plan to color "lightly" with them, but to color thickly and saturatedly. Please warn me if that's a bad plan. Just seems like a good idea since a pencil is what I'm most comfortable with already?
Thanks in advance for any advice. I'll avoid replying to this thread, but know that your advice about my drawing or colored pencil plan is appreciated.

Sure. Go ahead and get those prismas, but if you color thickly and saturatedly .... you'll be through with them in no time. My suggestion is to grab a nice set of markers and sue those. |

go get your prismacolours! and colour as thickly as you want. their colours are so bright and vibrant I love my set, but my stupid brother keeps on stealing them
EviLToYLeT's right though. You'll go through them quickly, but the colour is so wonderful I don't think that it matters.

Yes, Prismacolors are good. I have so many of them lying around that I write checks with them. Grab some Verithins while you're at it. It's a harder lead and if you'll be drawing hard and heavy, they can be useful for softening up certain areas. Watercolor pencils can be tons o' fun, too...
Enjoy! |
