It's ALICE... but from Alice in wonderland. (and no, not American McGee's neither, you nerds ^_^)
That's the chesier cat up on top. He had cat ears and everything, but I had to clip them off because the top part was REALLY messed up and this was the only way to recover. But hey, if you can't tell he's a cat... nutz to you ^_^
This is the primary color config. The alternate config will have the cat in purple/black and alice in red/biege. The alt color config will be for a valentine's day thing.
But for this one, I need ideas on a background. I have a really cool quote that's directly from Lewis Caroll's book. I just need some ideas... oh and some good old C&C is always nice ^_^
The characters are about as done as they're going to get, and I consider the background a formality, so that's why I posted this in the Finish art. Hope you all don't mind ^_^
thankx!

Done! IE users hit F11
This is the finished product:

And here's nice little CK1-ish thing I did with Chesier (God I hope that's how you spell it). I think I drew a real hotty, so I gave him his own little vinette.

Which of these anime chicks is Alice? Ah, uh, dang, never mind...after reading your description it sort of became a little clearer. (you're saying it's *NOT* Alice from Alice in wonderland right? Cause there's a negation missing in that first sentence of yours which leads to some funky conlusions on the image... anyway. =)
Hm, I've been a total bitch lately, but I'll try to be helpful for once...
The guy sorta looks like a girl to me, but that could because I'm not used to anime stuff. However, the image is difficult to understand because there is some important information being cut out to the left of the image... I spent some 2 minutes trying to figure out what the bloody stuff was... which I ended up understanding it was his claws from his furry hands... but since the elbow is out of the image and the hand is unlinked to the arm visually (that and the fact that the hand doesn't look like a hand we can quickly recognize).. well, it's quite confusing. ... oh heck, I can't crit cartoons like this because it's purely artistic license... just try to design the stuff better so it's easy to understand what each portion of the image is. Choosing the right colors and the right intensities might play a hige role in the readability of the image. I could point out some lighting tips, but I don't think it applies to this type of image at all.

(sigh)
Sorry. Was just being honest.
ed - (and when I wrote "..the bloody stuff..", I was talking about the red claws, and not referring to your picture as "bloody stuff"..)

Hey wingless, ure from Solace right? Anyways, try coloring up to your lineart, the white spots are distracting and might be taking away from some decennt artwork in the original drawing. Cool idea ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/biggrin.gif) |

I believe he's referring to the picture in this topic, and by "white spots" I think he meant "white areas", and not "white dots".
I believe he means the white hilighting around the edges of the mane (or whatever the ruff of fur is around the "cat's" neck), and the claws.
They don't bother me personally but... figured I'd try to help clarify.
[EDIT] Or actually... he could mean the large blank areas where a background should be.

Thankx! I kept thinking, if he's talking about the mane... it's suppoda be like that... And why the hell would he call it dots? Then I realized that he must have very graciously passed over the UPDATE that I left for him. Silly me. >_<
See? no dots! Just whole lotta facial glare ^_^

It's "all your base are belong to us".
Pretty cool image. But as it's supposed to be Alice and the Chesire cat, I would like to mention that it is not readily noticeable as that. You had to tell us. If you want the veiwer to know, they aren't.
Akolyte was talking about how your coloring of the mane does not fill in the entire area. With those white outlines, it flattens out the area. If the top "white area" was white, and the bottom one was done to a darker shade of the fill color, it would give more shape to the mane.
Why is the cats, last claw colored differant?
Pretty cool background.
