I did this in pencil, then inked with a .5 mm pilot pen. about a few days of work.

the file is too big. the size is ok but the quality could be lower.
the idea is very nice however u should think of the purpose of every mechanical object and think of HOW can this object fulfill it's purpose and only then think how should it look and what it's constructed of. this should make it look more realistic even if it's imaginary. your object's look like a bunch of metal pieces glued together. most artists make the inner metal body look like a metal skeleton (terminator 2) or some kind of outer skeleton (DATA from Star trek). i personally prefer T2. more realistic i think, but what do i know about robotics?
also u can add more orgenized background to your next pics.
anyhow it's an inspiring pic. great idea and it's shown i've worked hard on it. keep posting dude.

I get exactly what you mean, they do have that glued look... showing some ppl in school, one comment was a simple as putting wires coming from within the robot metal, now just behind... and to tell the truth, i added the wires and stuff only after, so i can admit to knowingly making a mass of little lines =)
i'll keep both that and the anatomy/background enhancements in mind for another pic, thanks guys.

detail dotfucking is always a good thing. i like that. too bad the big picture is a bit flawed in my eyes. but detail is nice.

Very nice man, but the colouring of the picture I think it would be a killer.
