I know that very few people actually look at an updated web site, but I guess this is different because I really didn't even have a site before.
So, I finally got my ass together and made a true Rattmouth.com web site. I've just been crunching like hell for the past 2 days (just over two days actually). It's not bad for something that was conceived, built, tweaked, and finalized in about 52 hours.
Anyway, here ya go..... http://www.rattmouth.com/
I already know that there will be cross-platforn/inter-browser difficulties. Just let me know if something doesn't work and I'll try to fix it. But keep in mind that I am an illustrator/lover not a programmer/fighter. Dreamweaver is your friend.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it, and I hope you get to see some of my work that you missed before. By the way there are a few new images in there, but you gotta swim around and find them.
Now, food and cleansing because I am hungry and I stink.
Matt.

Wow. I checked out your website and what a pleasant surprise! Extremely interesting layout for your webpage. I've never seen anyhting quite like it, yet it's still easy to navigate. And you have a lot of content too! It's a great page and I bookmarked it for full inspection later.
Those costumes!!??!!! That's great stuff to have in your portfolio. I love looking at those.
Very cool page. The layout makes me want to come back and explore it more.
My ONE suggestion would be on the opening index.html to make the title:
"rattmouth.com : HOT DONUTS NOW!"
instead of just
"HOT DONUTS NOE!"
so that when people bookmark your page it properly names it in their bookmarks.
lots of good stuff there and I can't wait to check it out further.

I really like you site too. I think the thumbnails are a little too small though. I kept clicking on the same thumbnail because i couldn't remember if i saw this already or not.

Hey thanks a lot guys. I appreciate the compliments a great deal.
And thanks Matthew for the point about the index page name. I had completely forgotten about that.
As far as the squares being small, I chose that size because I wanted the file sizes to be small as well for fast loading. I can totally understand how it could get confusing (especially on the ones without any color to guide you). But I guess that's a sacrifice that I'll have to deal with because there are still plenty of dial-up connections out there.
Anyway, now that I have completed my second web site ever (and the first one where I actually knew what I was doing), I can get back to drawing.
See ya soon,
Matt |
