Love them all, dunno though, noel looks like he's been staring way to much on the first chicks breasts. Looks like he's got a very large erection pointing to right...
Can't help my dirty mind sometimes...sorry |

Sorry but I think the style is weak. The first one looks good. The rest are just ok.
I think the style needs stronger shadows and more pure colors and more contrast.

I like all the other poses very much, but Noel seems very flat: the pants dont fold where the feet begin, neck not much defined and his totally on one vertical plane, like pressed against 2 glass sheets. Also, if my eyes don't trick me, the forearms are too short.
Making all the graphics by yourself sounds like a crazy amount of work.. congrats chester!
I agree about the feet, they make them look very unstable.
Can't find anything else to crit about, the rest is all good. Nina rocks.

Heres a one I modified to give an idea what I'm talking about.
I added some more shadows, increased the contrast, and made a more interesting background. Hope you like it. If I were going to modify it some more Id try to make a more impressive line drawing. I think the hands could use more shadows but I could not add them succesfully.
You may like original better. You can use this if you want or as guide. I will remove it soon.

i agree with Fedins on the erection thing!..
once its mentioned..its hard not to ignore!
i also think that Light's reworking is no-where near as good as the original, the contrast ..maybe.. but definitely NOT the background, the solidily coloured style of the original background and character works much better. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Anyways, last night I only had a few minutes to say something. Ok, well I actualy love it. Tell you the truth paintings are messy IMO, I like line art alot better. Probably because I am such an old skool anime nut =). Or maybe its because the world is so defined and perfect in its simplicity...
Oh well, I love 'em, nothing I can see wrong. I try not to judge drawings since I can't draw =(...

LOL!
Dammit, I never thought about that or even noticed that feature on Noel until you said that, Fedins!
BTW, I'm ust fine with those boobies. Nothing wrong with "tanker" breasts.

Light, To be honest I think you should talk more about your personal taste instead of talking in general about styles. Because, it is easy to understand what you are saying as something built on expertise.
What you changed are things that we have tried under the process, and I don't think that's something that makes the drawings less "weak" (please explain clearer). I would love to see you showing us a stronger linedrawing, to really illustrate your observations.
*I'm sorry that I sound so emotional, I'm not. I truly agree to so much of what everyone has pointed out, and critics are always good. But, I just don't like that "I know the way" attitude, unless your skills and experience exceeds the rest of us.

Ah ok. Well its up to you. Put the pictures side by side and see which one stands out more..
The game is "extreme sports". Maybe all of the mountain dew commercials have rubbed off on me but that makes me think "grungey" "extreme".
You show a washed out color style. Most washed out color styles are used in conjuction with very fancy line work (anime). Strong anatomy.
You chose an artsy anatomy which is usually complemented by strong design (ie strong blacks).
Those pictures are NICE. There is nothign wrong with them. But then what is so right about them?
I just think they should be beefed up. Vary the line weight some more. Simple line quality is generally used in animation because its the best way but these are stills.
Anyway, I just tried to help.

btw on the edit.. I also added a hint of the red into the reflection of the visor which (to me) complements the picture.
I think you should work more on what you are trying to say "ie cool" and not so much on if the drawings are good or bad.
I kNOW you can draw good.

These are megacool! Nice how you and Chester have matched the style!
I `m not sure which version will work best when printed, but the slightly more suble colors fits the game more. I like the less screaming originals better. But it`s just a matter of taste. But then again I`m scandianvian too, and we might be biased for weaker color/ more earthtones and less neon.
Usually printing companies adjust Brightness and colors until it looks ringt to them. Every monitor looks darn different, so to get things most right, I apply "auto adjust Brightness/contrast" in photshop if I want the printed result to look like it supposed.
9 out of 10 times that does the trick.
Sorry about cancelling tonighs party Joachim, but if you ask Chester, you know why;-\ |

I'm well impressed with the line work and also like the posing. Not a great fan of those kind of games though, but at least the art is nice.
