Nice design skills indeed!. I'm very impressed, imo you should be trying to sell yourself(if your not already).
Although I'm not into those kinda shoes, I think you've got a talent/knack/skill for it, pursue it.

COOL, those blue sandals are the best. the very first shoe on the top left might be too dark on top though for people to see how it should look. These designs ar brilliantly displayed too. I like |

thanks for all the cool comments...
Bubonic : yea, im doing a Degree in GPI (graphic, product and interactive design) at University of Ulster, Ireland. 2nd yr
Lukias : dont really have time to sell myself at the minute, too many project deadlines, too much getting drunk! etc. ( the student life is a hard one ) but if i win this Reebok compo ill be paid to go to Boston and work at reebok for 12weeks which would be sweet.
oh ... and im going to lighten the first dark shoe, your right Switch it does look a bit dark.
cheers.

Shamhead :
Those screens look very nice. A nice blending
mix of colors used, looks a lot like print
stuff done by e.g 'the attik'.
Great work

You really have it.....good work.....i like most of 'em.....
1st colors=perfect...but it looks like a divers shoe
2nd is okay done....real nice design you got there
3rd i like the most (theyr part of 2nd, right)
colors match absolutely perfect.....GREAT
4th......yucky colors for me, but its the new style....creamy colors.
5th....again i have somethin against the color......(maybe looks like a doctors shoe, coz of color)
5th......nice again......just nice
Really great work i have to say......u have a big future i hope

cool!
this is the best response ive had so far at the Sijun forums .. im going to have to post more of my design stuff rather than just artwork!
anyway.. Freaker, good comments, id have to agree with you on most of them.
Your also right about the similarities between the shoes, but its not just the 2nd and third shoes, all of the designs use the same basic sole design as shown in the 2nd pic. Part of the brief we were given stated that, to save on (Theoretical)production costs, parts of each shoe design would have to stay constant throughout the range...
so i chose to design a sole which i would use on all my designs, although on some ive disguised it more on some than on others.
Assa : whhhooo! comparing my stuff to the Attik's !! i consider that a definite compliment!
cheers everybody!

Woooh! Really nice stuff man...both shoe design and presentation. Dunno what else to say...you've sold me. One small comment...all the shoes sorta look like diving shoes, or whatever. The soles arn't very noticeable. I personally like my shoes with big ass 5 inch bottoms. |
