'Hmmm, it's getting warmer. I think it would be about time for me to wake up. As fun as this has been, I don't quite enjoy it anymore. Oh, that looks kinda neat....I think I'll stay for a little while longer...."

i like it the clouds are wonderful. the waves kind of remind me of mountains tho, if mountains bent over like trees.

Isric, this is excellent, talk about surreal.
Its not often I get such feeling from a piece, you've really done well to pull of a dream'like atmosphere.

I commend you. Bravo

awsome painting...the only thing i would say is to separate the clouds from the waves in the background...they kinda blend together...unless thats what you were aiming for...minor gripe...excellent work

Absolutely beautiful...

I adore the mood, lighting and reflective lighting. The scale is wonderful, the atmosphere serene amongst utter chaos...

Reminds me of chocolate whenever I am at work... ;}

More!

The thing I lvoe most about the picture (besides your skill) is the contrast between the ray of light shining down on the man, and the big scary waves all around him. The ray lets me believe that everything is going to be alright for this lost soul at sea. And indeed the character looks calm on his boat. Look outside the lighted area and you have these enormous waves that are just going to crush him and his boat sending them into the water. I read into like that and absoultly loved what I saw. Good work.

Great stuff Isric. The first time I saw the picture I thought they were mountains.... you may want to... blunt the tips and add some good ol ocean spray here and there. But, indeed, hehe looks like that guy is getting rescued by the heavens. Very...heartwarmin.

Yes, i think too that the clauds and the waves blend, but it suites the image..
I mean that (if i got it right) if this is a dream what you want to express in this picture..
Then i think that you did it well..

Because first time i saw it, i felt alone and anguished, like i would be there in the middle of the ocean, it doesn't wind but the waves grow like they just want to show me how powerfull they are, that they could crush me when ever they want. And i just can't run, i just can't run away from them, i try to look to the horizon, but i can't see that far, i'm trapped in the boat in the middle of my nightmare...

Well, that's just what i felt.. You managed to paint my nightmaare..
Loneliness, anxiety..
Great work, i LOVE it!
<saved it to my small picture collection>
