OK, something I did a year or so ago for TV show Heavy Gear.Anyway, they used bits and parts for the final - I think. I can't really post anything that I'm doing at the moment because of agreements or I'ld post them. Ed--

Pretty cool. I don't remember seeing this one. I mentioned this before...but i think your line-art looks cooler if changed to black (personal taste)....eg....your..umm...recent sketches of those chicks from work. Too bad you can't post that g-string girl...hehe...the guys in this forum will love it........sh*t, i love it. Hahahaha.....

Anyways, cool drawing. I dig all your little details cuz they look functional - eg. the straps for them knives....

That's cool! - Like the armor overlay too - looks like heavy plating!

I actually like the "blueline" look... I guess that makes me weird.

Nice design Ed. Did you do this for Foundation before the show got switched to Canada?

Yes, it was designed before it went to Canada. Now, the Canadians are doing CG and design as well. I think Foundation would have done a better CG job personally. As for Starship, they had wicked schedule - 2 weeks per episode. Ed--

I haven't seen any of the Canadian firm's work yet, but Foundation always seems to do a good job, giving the time frame you guys have to finish shots.

Very nice, Ed. I, too like the blueline work. It gives a more interesting feel to it plus it's somehow easier on the eyes. I also think you contrasted the other colors nicely with your bluelines.

The only problems I can see (other than he's tippy. ) is that the right bicep looks comparitively slightly smaller and his lips don't quite line up with the nose by way of the philtrim.

Extremely nicely done detail. Not too many people take the time anymore.

Thanks for showing us!

a.

Very cool...Is this blue line technique simply done with a blue colored pencil? I like it alot...with the red on top, it gives a definite sense of depth.

Ed Lee:
1) Mambo illustration! i love the way all the gear really fits together, and the optional heavy plating that can be added still has little ports for the sensors(?) to operate through. Attention to detail like that lends a lot to this pic. BTW, the "blue print" look is fine, it lends a technical edge to the image.

2) "Col Erase" pencils - I used them for a year while working for a games studio in London, but now I can't seem to get them _anywhere_ in Australia! That sucks, because they are such a superior product. Do you know who makes them, or if there's somewhere on the internet I can order a lifetime supply to be shipped Down Under?

Cheers, A.
