spend some time painting today. here's the result:

i'm not too fond of this as a whole but it has some parts that came out decently. it also might be dark on some systems... i'm not sure.
anyway, tell me what you think.

Nice one, Janne. I don't really know where to put any critism except that his left side of the face looks abit strange. There's a strange bump on his forehead that I think should be more in the shadow... It might be intentional but his left side looks a bit unfinished/unpolished compared to the other side. Nice colors as usual. Great style.

Finally we're seeing some stuff in the background as well, and it adds hell of a lot to the pic.

As for the character, LOL. Maybe the darks shouldn't go so black? Ill crit more later

thanks for the feedback!

sear: haha, that's actually made as an afterthought and i think it shows but you should try it too. i would love to see the results!

boom: thanks! i agree with the crits... although the facial stuff is mostly intentional i guess it might not work very well that way

metz: thanks! i like the expression too.

gecko: thanks! yes, darks shouldn't go all black. you are absolutely right... i'm not too sure why it came out like that but please check out another king i'm about to post. no blacks there

Sumthin' about this pic makes him look like an evil Pimp-lord with that grin. Cool atmosphere.

I particularly like the FACE. It's striking and almost elephantmanish.

And I agree that the "streak" forming his upperleft forehead seems to need retouching. An easy fix, it would be I'd think.

It's like that last streak finishing off the forehead is like sticking out instead of bending back and sticking to the forehead.

Your hands are pretty good too! Especially HIS left hand. It suggests a nice hand-form. His right hand doesn't SEEM quite as accurate.

A very nice pic, I like it a whole loT!
