Hey Mike that's exactly the music I grew up with
some more
yazoo, Aha, Depeche Mode, Scorpions , Metallica, Kiss, U2, Madonna , Wham, etc
was hell of a time - I noticed a return to the 80's in fashion here lately although the 60's and 70's are still major influence . |

hehe Micke i must tell you that those guys were the presenters of the most famous youth TV show in France.
Their TV show (the CLub Dorothe) lasted for at least 10 years and they brought us all the cult japanese anime (dragon ball, hokuto no ken, saint seiya, city hunter, sailor moon, goldorak, candy, etc )
For all the people like me who watched this show when we were children, these guys are somewhat our idols, but of course in fact they were totally stupid and ridiculous, but that was so good )
Between the cartoons there was always stupid games where a spectator would play : there was 3 shower next to each other, each with a letter (A B C) and in each of them there was one of the guys. The telespecator choose a letter, and then all the guys were pulling the string of the shower (only one shower had water in it) and if the guy that got soaked was the one guessed by the telespecator he would win some prices )
and there was a similar game with cream pies in the faces of the guys
well i will stop rambling, this dhow was totally absurd but we all loved it ) |

Hahaha! Micke, that is hilarious! I remember having exactly that stupid black/pink adidas backpack for quite some time...and i wish i had that cool transformers-cap, hehe.
If I find time I'll do one, there is a lot of 80's clichee left to draw...
Wayfinder: Yep, that's definitely it!

ROTFL !
Mime: where's Cabu ?!??! Goodness what a blast from the past.
We had an intense rumaging of gray matter the other day trying to remember the oldest cartoon we could from our childhood. Listening to MP3s, watching MPGs.. Woo I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But I do miss KEN the survivor *evil grin*
That's what happends when you draw cute stuff 8 hours a day

Here's something I whipped up to pay homage to the 80's. Sorry if the resolution is bad. Jpeg compression does a number on my images. Any suggestions?
