Hi gang! Can't talk too much cuz I'm out the door...
Anyway, here's a brand new style for me. First real attempt at anything other than characters! Unfortunately, I saved over the final version after I made a big mistake (ARGH!), so I'll post the almost finished version here. The final version had a nicer background with a big moon and stars, but I saved over it! HAHAH!
Anyway, please let me know what you guys think! I hope you like it!
peace,

i really like this sort of concepts although it is not creepy it immediately reminded me about the smurfs and Gargamel's house
this would perfectly fit a console rpg setting like secret of mana
great job

Nice! Would love to see the sky tho. Is this for something in particular?
Just wondering...

Mime: Yeah, I love these concepts, too! Someone else said it reminded them of the Smurfs, too, but I don't recall what their buildings look like
Tweeder: Thanks!
Liquid!: No, it isn't for anything in particular. I LOVE this sort of stuff, though, and would love to be involved in the gaming industry, especially RPG's. One day, if I keep practicing, hopefully that will come true!
I'll try to redo the background and post it here! Next time I won't click the "OK" button instead of the "Don't Save" button when I make a mistake

Cool concept. It is smurfy and kings questlike.... Nice stuff.
I think the smurfs had mushroom houses though? red roofs with white dots on em... (as far as I can remember)
I would have expected to see a different symbol on the sign. Maybe a hat and wand? A cauldron to me is just too stereotyped towards Witches... It screams witch to me.
Cant wait to see the new sky..

Great Job! I'm so used to seeing pseudo- realistic things here, but you do a great job with your style and color, I like it! |

If you make this more comics it would be great. The sign almost looks like the gummibears logotype
great pic

Thanks again for the positive feedback, everyone! I'm definitely going to do more pix in this style.
Collosimo: Thanks for the input, it made me realize that the sign didn't effectively communicate what it was. It's actually a mortar and pestle used for alchemy, not a cauldron. Makes me wonder how many other people thought the same thing! I'll have to revise it, for sure Thanks for the heads-up!
Oh, btw, I found a smaller jpg of the near-finished version. Here you go, sorry about the smallness of it Needs a few stars and some detail on the moon (ie: craters, and such), but I don't have that version anymore! ..... and I'm too burnt out on the pic to do anymore with it just yet! HAH!
Enjoy the bite-sized version

Reminds me of children's book artwork.
Sure is bright inside the house. You can see the glow coming out from beneath the door. Heh heh.
I think it looks better not to have the moon with details. i.e craters and stuff.
I think it looks nicer to have a simple and clear moon.
I like.
