Looks good. This is one of your better works. Its nice to se some clothes on the characters. Maybe the guy is a little shiny though. His face looks very much like the armour metal.

I really like the way you developed the colours. The armour is wonderful too.

I've seen this piece of art ,
from the WIP forum to the Gallery to the wicked updated version..
Colours are really cool, the odd green vein looks dodgy, but all in all very cool..
How long u been doing fantasy art ?

Very good, it's probably your best digital one yet.

I use opaque bristle spray. It works like a paintbrush. A combo of feature, opacity and size + the paintpicker for getting midtones makes it perfect for blending.
No smooth and smear brushes..they are mostly useless in my opinion. Size...well most was done in rougly 2000x2000

OK, thanks Veb. I like the textures from the brushes, which is why I've been using them, but like you said, some of them aren't much good. Can't get sharp areas with them. Thanks for the info.

Hey Veb, nice work, but can I still crit on this?
If yes, then I would point out that it is very contrasted, large portions of the image are either pitch black or hyper-white, which is somewhat irritating... something I don't beleive you did in the past. It has it's benefits where the bright parts can really blind the viewer from mistakes in the darker areas, but overall, it may be a little much. Anyway, I don't think you like crits much - so I'll end it here.
It's nice work, but I think there's much to be said for subtlety.
cheers,
Frost. |

awesome work. I like how there's two people as the focus in this one vs. the usual single hero kinda thing alot more. Those people look pissed so I think I'll go now

By the way, what resolution is that? I know you use the smeary bristle right? I've been using the round brush, and at low sizes(lower than 5) it becomes unusable.

Nice work as usual Veb. But i've a question. Do you ever tried to 'simulate' PhotoShop hard-style brushes?
