Well, I guess this came as a big surprise, hehe. But hey, it's a cool topic, so why not do one, like the rest of you have done so nicely already.
I hope it doesn't look strange, I tried to illustrated that he hides from the sunlight.
dark one, but I guess that fits the topic right?...
ofc. comments are welcome...

looks real cool as usual, only thing i would suggest would be like you make his skin bubble from the sunlight or disinegrate, it would give it a whole new sorta edge, and add more action.. |

I shouldn't be critiquing but if the light is so bright on the forehead , then would it be the same on the fabric or no... I wouldn't know either..

hey nice piece there joachim! its great to see some horror stuff from you aswell
Has a good sense of realism to it.. Maybe a touch of charring skin and smoke coming from his forehead would be cool too like bubonic mentioned, since the sunlight is hitting him that strongly. |

heya, I added some texture to his skin, where the sun is hitting him. Not much, just subtle, does that look ok ?
gotta go to bed, i'll read the comments and write more tomorrow. nighty nighty.

Hey, that's real nice Joachim. About time you did a horror pic, man. I like the overall feel, very atmospheric and dark. |

Looks awesome, much softer than your usual stuff! Why just subtle texture... I would have little dark spots with wisps of smoke coming off...
Ignore me.

Nice Joachim. Captures the "vampire mood" for me
sometimes when I look at it, the arm seems out of place, strangly connected. but it doesn't detract from the image. |

Joachim, It's got to the point where I identify your pics by the almost trademark highlights on the nose and else where.
I suggest maybe you rely on these too heavily? I dunno what do you think?
Nice pic any way. |

Heya all thank you sooo much for all the kind words and all.
just a few answers...
chapel, well I guess,in a way. Does it look like me ?
bubonic, did it yesterday. Thanks for that comment btw..it helped.
frustrated artist, well, maybe it look strange, I don't know. But, it doesn't nescessarily need to be bright though the skin are...Depends much on the fabric.
cos, thx...yup added the tormented skin. hope that does the trick.
liquid!, hehe, well I guess I did it subtle because I kinda wanted it too look like an old painting...and in those days they didn't go all the way with the effects I guess, don't know, maybe I'm silly
amnesia, hmm, maybe you are right. I went over my pics to see , don't think I have that many faces with highlighted noses, except my self-portraits and if it's suited with the lightsetting. Maybe I overdoo it though, but doesn't every artist do that ? Anyway, I guess the question is if I've done in any inappropriate places where it would look better without ? do you think I went too far with this one ?
shaded, you mean I should "work" on the fabric...improve them or what, specify please
anyway thanks you all !!!! A lot of nice feedback!

This for some reason this makes me think of the film The Lost Boys, not to sure why apart from the obvious.
I really like how smooth it looks and the way you've done his eyes, the way they stand out but not too much as to look too bright.
Nice work. |

I can't even begin to touch your work, but I was curious. Would the light react this way on the cloth? Or would the cloth even have this type of ambient light, it probably would just absorb it. I dunno. I'm really trying to learn better lighting. Hope ya didn't mind me trying this, if so I'll edit it out. Love the image btw, no dark alleys with this guy for sure. |
