Hi

Sorry for re-submitting but the theme name was not good!

I'm new to this board and I wanted to submit, for my first message, a picture I've done recently.

Don't hesitate to tell me what you think!

In fact, I should have added some shadows to give some references. The position of the right leg should enable her to keep steady, without falling backward!

Ok, ok I admit it, the position is a bit akward but it is possible to remain standing with this position

it's hard to tell where the feet are. To me it looks kinda like she'd fall back and to her left.

I agree now completely, she really seems to fall back. The fact is that her right foot is a little in the back and that most of her weight should be on this foot ( like 70 % of the weight ).

I'll try to add some ground and shadow to correct that!

That's true, I've especally spent some time on her back fleshy part because it is some kind of focus point in the image, but I never thought that everyone would like it like that

...Considering that with her right hand she's practicing way of the snake (part of Shao-Lin) her legs are in a completely wrong position. Her knees should be bent, back straight, and her feet should be just over one shoulder-width apart. Second mistake is with the nunchaku. She's holding it the wrong way. Third mistake is also with the nunchaku. If she's really practicing way of the snake, she wouldn't be holding one. Way of the snake is an un-armed combat technique. :P Other than that, I like your coloring.

Papiers perdus !!

Translation:
Super! Keep on at it.

Snake Grunger : You're completely right and I agree with your comments. The fact it that this picture was at first an exercice of style ( that I succeed I think regarding what I choose to do : hard to draw stance and high quality color ) and consequently has mistake for other points.

Anyway, I agree also that with some work ( shadow reference ) the picture should become better pleasing to the eye.

I really appreciate your comment

Visigoth - Wuahahaha! MArvelous, you're exactly the person I thought I would never meet. The fact is that I practice chan Chuan style and that I found amusing to draw a woman that take a stance but with mistakes ( right arm bent, bad feet position for a fu-bo, nunchaku not well taken ) and you can't imagine how it pleases me to read your comment. THAT'S GREAT . Someone has seen the flaws!!!!
