One of these days I have to try something without guns or tentacles in it :/
What I wanted to do here was capture the mood when all the shooting is over.
BTW I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone here. I've never been so inspired or eager about drawing as I've been after finding this site. I'm learning new stuff every day

Hong Kong SDU counter terrorist force?Or France GIGN?
I would add a couple of more counter terorist guys in there. They usually stick together and work as a team.
Also, give him a machine gun. I prefer the MP5. Or maybe an Uzi. |

Actually he's supposed to be from a NATO special unit from an upcoming HL mod, Hostile Intent.
And he *does* have a gun you know ?? He has an MP5SD6 in a 3 point sling...is the image to dark to see it ?
I considered adding more NATOs in the background, but I think it'd spoil the mood. |

Yes, I can't see the weapon on my monitor.
By the way, my favourite is the German GSG9
force. I like their uniform. |

Give him a machine gun? I was about to reply how idiotic that sounded, but you redeemed yourself in part by stating that it wasn't visible on your monitor.
Props to you HardCoil, for knowing your H&K weapons.
Regarding what was said about the uniform... GIGN or Hong Kong SDU? Wha?? He's not wearing either of those uniforms! In fact, his uniform seems to be rather...neutral. Specifically because neither of those teams wear 14 eyelet boots. They're limited to 11 and 12 eyelet military issue. NATO teams are the only ones that wear steel-blue jumpsuits, But the NATO teams wear black balaclavas (sp?) and composite fiber tactical helmets, and protective eyewear. Other than the very slight technical errors, I love it! Keep up the good work.

Okay
NATO team does not refer to US Seals only. Many countries are members of Nato, and so NATO teams is a wide description. This is an imaginary NATO force consisting of the best people from different NATO countries, kinda like Rainbow 6, if you've read that. So they kinda dress up like they want, and per mission reqs. This is the "light armour" version, as he is not wearing any armour at all
But damn you got me on the boots Just blobbed the lace rings in there...didn't really count. NEXT time I'll use reference material (that's kinda my mantra).. |

Don't get me wrong, I love the image...hehe I'm just nuts about small technical details. ;P~ -- NATO counter-terrorist teams DO have a set uniform, no matter what country they're from. Email me if you want a literal *ton* of reference pics.
