Heeyy, this is goodly indeed!! I'd really like to know your process of doing these. How much of the snow leopard is watercolour? I can't see any watercolour edges, so I'm just curious. @:-)

Loading time: Moderately fast.
Snow Leopard: Do Snow Leopards look this yellowish? I thought they look more grey-whitish. You know, because of the snow.
Hand: No need for wrinkles. Unless it is an old man's hand.
Additional Question:You used Painter classic?

I think they look really good, both of them. well done in watercolor and pencil too.
no crits from me..uhm, or maybe just one, that fingers (the proportions of them are really good) could need some folds or texture, they look a bit like if they were made out of rubber sponge. hehe, and yeah the kitten has lost it's whiskers ...
Btw, excellent figure drawings you posted as well. Were do you work ?

Actually, its a snow leopard...
I finally got my tablet up and running, but until I get a feel for it , I won't be posting any of the horrible crap I've been producing with it. Still love the feeling of pen and paper...
Comments/critiques always welcome.
Hey! Just noticed he has no whiskers
edit - adding a new one that I've been toying around with lately. The hand is giving me some trouble, though. Maybe I need to work some blue into it? It also looks a little too...silicony? Maybe working more texture and wrinkles into would help...
As before, comments and critiques are always welcome.
Also, are these loading too slow for anyone?
Cheers!

Sorry for the delay in responding. Back at work now...
Thanks all for the comments and suggestions.
Freaker: I hope so, too.
Brain: Mostly washes and its most apparent around the mouth with some fan brush strokes in the fur.
Visigoth: Thanks!
ArtKeo: You're right, now he's just a leopard and no Painter. Just watercolor and pencils on illustration board.
Joachim: I'll work more texture into them because you're right, they do look like rubber. My employment is a boring tale...
...and as far as the figure drawing thread,
Plop if you're reading this, yes it's Watts. If you are anywhere near the school I would highly recommend it. Small school with top-notch instructors - very hands on. Several of the instructors and students lurk this forum
Cheers everyone! |
