I like the look of it alot, but being a web designer myself, unless this is a personal page or has some disclaimer of how long it will take to load. No matter how you dice the graphics I think that you're going to have a lengthy load time. That may be ok for what you're designing for but modem users are going to have a tough time going though it, overall though I dig the feel from it. It looks like I'm reading the diary of a Quake Player ;^)

but the more i look at it i think it should fit more in a medievel game....
