This is the first image of many that I plan on doing for my webpage. I want to make it a series and have each image with these mako marines (men and women) battling aliens and creatures. And hopefully a story to go with them. Comments and suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Awsome Piccy. although I will comment on a few things (none of them are bad just first impressions)
1) the perspective of the head/face inside the helment seems wrong to me,
2) its _sort_ of daylight (in a green world) but the glows from the lights are on full beam almost? this looks real odd maybe spoils the picture for me I think just a small glow would of been a lot better..
3) a bit more variation in color....
However. the rest of it is superb work, that beast is top class!!! - ambience is nice too nice work keep it up.
Oh and welcome to the board

Zor, thanks for replying and for the constructive crits. It's always nice to have another set of eyes looking at my stuff to see the things that I've missed. Yeah looking at it now the lights do seem like a bit much, I had light projecting thru fog in mind but I went a little too far.
About the head and helmet I've been looking at it but I still don't see it. Is it too small? Or is it not at the correct angle compared to the perspective of the helmet?
I'll add a better color variation on my next pic. Thanks again for the comments. |

Hey steve, great picture. I like how the marines' eyes are looking to the side, like he knows what's behind him, but he's waiting ot surprise it.
The rain is a nice effect, but I think Zor is right about the lights, cut them down a little bit. But as for the colors, I like the low color usage. Who says when you go to a green planet theres going to be a lot of color? |

Delucubus: Thanks! I was trying to capture the feeling that the marine knew the creature was behind him so I'm glad you noticed that. Yeah I think I'll tone the lights down a bit tonight when I get home.
Psionic: I appreciate your reply, thanks! I checked out your site and I must say I really like the music on there you've created and what you've done with the menu, very cool. And I really enjoyed your space marine art and you did an excellent job on the Drop ship from Aliens. You've been bookmarked! |

Black_Fish: Thanks! I really like your artwork on your page. You did an excellent job on the knives image! That's my favorite one, the detail in it is awesome. |
