I love it, specially the hand...
Maybe the head should drop more shadows on the clothes...

hey and he used colors too! great to see you trying out more saturated stuff. i like the head a lot but overall it's bit dark... i know it's intentional but humm. perhaps you should at least try adding secondary light? or let the torso receive some light also? and my personal preference would be more sharp shadows. it's something in their soft airbrushyness that i don't like but that might be just me. anyway, great to see you experimenting and postin again!

Hey Klaivu, long time no see! What have you been up to?

As for lighting errors, I'd say there are a couple I can spot, but, nothing to kill yourself over with. =)

The light seems to be coming directly from above judging from the general lighting on most forms, but one must note this: planes which are most perpendicular to the light source will be most lit, the planes parralel to the light source will not be lit (or will only light slight imperfections in the surface such as dust, bumps, scratches, etc.). So I would think his lower right arm should be more lit than his bicep for instance, as would the tendons/muscle on the inside of his left elbow area.

Some cloth ripples would have been a nice touch, as well as some ancient Egyptian decorations on it.

Very nice painting, glad to see you back here. =)

This sends shivers up my spine. It really captures that corpse in a sepulcher feeling- clammy, cold, the stench of death in the air. Like a place the living aren't meant to tread. Great job!

whats got you down?

theresa and i think the arms are really well done wow look at that.

one thing i noticed thats a bit odd is he/she seems to be resting his/her hand on his/her knuckles. I guess if I had a beak i'd do that too but it just looks kinda peculiar to me. overall this is excellent! I prefer the darker image (but i have a really bright monitor!)
