I just bought the famous book "Drawing with the right side of your brain" (or at least it is called like this in Spanish), and as I was bored at 3 AM in the morning, I made the first exercise: a self-portrait (with my earphones on).
Even though it is an sketch, it is a finished work, so I post it here...

Yes, the first 3 exercises are made without reading anything from the book (well, there are some introductory pages about how your brain works and so, but nothing about drawing).
The author asks you to draw
a) Your self-portrait
b) Someone else as you remember him/her.
c) Your hand
All this in an hour more or less.
I did the 3 exercises in 3/4 quarters of an hour, and the one I've posted here is the first exercise (you are suppossed to do it way much better when you finish reading the book, at least that's what the examples that come with it show). I *really* hope to do it much better when I finish reading it ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |
