Threw this together in a couple hours...I have no inspiration for my comic strip this week, so I decided to do a little more elaborate drawing of one of the characters, Agnes; Agnes is my portrayal of every woman that I've known who wasn't exactly the most attractive, but more than made up for it with charm and cynical wit. hi, I think there are some anatomy issues with the neck and the face but since I dont know what the person you attempted to draw looks in real life its hard to judge that.

That's a hugely thick neck. I think the neck doesn't really start until just behind the ear depending on angle

Well, since they mentioned the neck already.. I think it looks like her hips are to far down, seems like they should be higher up. I can't place it, but she still looks like a man.

I don't know, I could be wrong on the hips.

I like the fact that she's not perfect. I like the fact that it's such a simple and clean picture. I love her hairstyle - used to have a friend with hair just like that. I like her pose, and I like her clothes.

Actually, now that you corrected the neck (which WAS way too thick!) there's not really anything I don't like with it. Kudos to you for creating someone not too perfect. And hey, some people have their hips lower down than others!

Yeah...I'm working on one of the other characters, Lilith who is actually disgustingly beautiful. =P You'll see a stark contrast in their features, style of dress, etc. I'm basically doing these because I have no inspiration for my comic strip this weekend and I need to keep the 11,000 some odd people that visit my page every day entertained. ;P~

Hey visi. All this good ol art. Anyway, I think there may be a minor problem with the arm on the right (our right).. seems to be anatomical error. Or maybe not. I keep thinking the bend in the arm is wrong.. you may want to consider adding a few more lines to remedy it up. In any case, looks great. Wonder where that guy on the forum that says "hey that's my wife!" is

Hiya Visigoth. I really like your style and, having read the first paragraph, I know whatyou mean. I like the way you manage to get a pic across using the cleanest lines and the sharpest contrast.

BTW - I think the kind of girls you mention tend to rely on wit and charm and it is to their credit as they end up being far more sociable company.

I like your style, Visigoth. I was poking around in your site, but didn't run across anything noting how you work in PhotoShop. Do you scan your sketches in and work them or just start knocking stuff out in PS. Or both? You creating paths as you go along or laying stuff in with brushes?

Anyway, 'nough questions for now...

Actually I do all my stuff freehand in Photoshop -- From initial sketch, to fine lines and then color/shading. The construction lines/sketching are on a layer that I create above the background, and when I'm done I set the opacity to %25, and create a new layer, to work my fine lines on. All the lines in my pieces are done entirely freehand; No paths/etc.
