I think I've seen this before. Can't remember
Cool drawing, I love stuff done in blue. Makes it feel more technical.

Are you a designer at a game company?

I like this, very nice design and shapes.
It would be cool to see some more views of the character. |

Wel, i mean looks like a great robot. But , like the others said, it's too symmetrical. Which, detracts from realism (if your going for any) Frankly, nothing is perfectly symettrical in this world. Anyway, may be great if you added perhaps a shoulder plate to one side, add a gun ..or even an apple.. (that always seems to work. ) but great work, keep it coming! |

of course it's a very cool design, and the machanical details which ... have sense
but i find it a bit "chuby"(sp?) geometrical, angular, maybe it needes more rounded shapes, like that cockpit what you post beafore. or maybe is only a matter of taste.
oh, i have to stop here. the english is kiling me
relly cool stuff!

looks like a blueprint or something. it makes me want to move my head to the side a little so i can get some kind of perspective view so I don't go insane ehaeha
I really do envy this kind of work sometimes since I have horrible craftsmanship. Look at all the little lines that are perfectly symmetrical! egads. Do you ever do things that aren't head on?

Hey synj,
have ytou ever gotten a Games Magazine and did one of those art puzzles... where a drawing in a grid has been mized up, and each little brick is a a jumble pile, and all you have to do to reassemble the picture is copy each little cube to the empty grid below.
That's the skill I draw upon when doing technical drawing, except I make the lines and the art, and the grid is more about proportional line layout before drawing of the real meat.
Oh yeah, obsessive/compulsive tendencies are required as well!! :P
Ed Lee. Rockn' robo design. It's good to see an ectomorphic robot that isn't 100% skeletal or that resembles the Terminator! |
