Hi people, here is the finished version of my preview post... (I know, it's incomplete, but is only a conceptual design of a new character).
Right now I'm working on a fully finished illustration of him in action.

I saw this pic when you posted the
inprogress one, I noticed that kinda lumpy bernie
wrightson influence straight away, I'm quite a fan of
his stuff too actually
I gotta say I think you could work into it some more,
I was looking forward to seeing how it was gonna turn out.
Maybe just keep the legs more sketchy if you dont want to
work much more on it.
I think some of the smudgy areas are ruining it a little,
Like his bicep, and his chin, etc.
Also the vest could have more subtelty too it, since its
not muscle, which is what it kind of looks like now, and
its creases in material so maybe try and subtle out the
black in it to take out some of that solidity.
The line from the neck that goes straight into his collar
bone doesnt look right either.
I know its a very comical style so you can get away with
alot of stuff, but I think with some more refining you could
have a really great style going there, keep it up!

I think it looks very nice. the shading is nice too,.....just maybe a bit to blurred/washed out, in my opinion.

I think this guy has some serious 'roid' issues. I like the colouring etc, (not good enuf to crit that side) maybe it's the angle, but to me he comes across as one of those guys at the gym who has been working his arms, and not his chest, so they come across alittle unbalanced. Just what I see, not trying to hurt anyones feelings. |

Sheeet! Really nice. The outline takes a bit away though imo. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

I really like it, but I had expected more texture on the glove to recognize the material. Anyway, the shading of the muscles is really cool. |

Like the face the most pretty cool expression
as already mentioned it's abit blurry
..well and maybe one could see too many muscels under his body-shirt-->looks like you painted the shirt over the muscels
anyway great pic

Sam Kieth
Simon Bisley
Bernie Wrightson
Yep..I like this style..and it's used well here I'm like others, a bit bothered by the perspective size of one arm being so very tiny compared to the other...but I really like the grainy washed out airbrushing look.
Nice.

this guy is a skinny little puss compared to me!
no really, i saw this guy in a few weeks ago, and it is really good!
one question....do slap down the black first then paint the lighter colors on top, or do you paint the main color down first, then add the shadows?
bad ass...thats all i have to say.....

Thanx for your comments guys... This character is a mixture of The Maxx (Sam Kieth)and Sharky (Alex Horley). It's only a concept sketch for a comicbook proyect. This is the original inked version...

Hey Starfish, I love Corben's stuff too!. The last thing that I saw of him was the wonderful DENZ for Penthouse Comix and the graphic novel 'The House on the Borderland' for DC Comics (Vertigo).
