big fan of the PA.. glad you're around here.

i really like the cleanness and sharpness of your illustrations. this one in particular. hope she comes included with the x-box. only thing i can see here is the x on her navel looks a little flat. maybe it could curve with her stomach to add depth.

read the comic...but dont understand the sudden change in styles. now your comic looks like PvP. :\

Heya Gabe,

glad to see you here, I just started reading you guys' comic a month or so ago...funny stuff man. Our owner/president just e-mailed this picture out to all of us this morning. If you haven't guessed I'm with Pipeworks, the guys who took that character and made the real time demo of her and the robot (no, didn't work on it myself, was hired shortly after). Funny you should start posting here the same day. Anyway, glad to have you here in the forums.

We're just glad it doesn't look quite as man-ish as the original, hehe.

[edit] actually, if you want to know who the original-original people responsible for her are look for Vortx (feng) here on the forums. He just got a job doing concept art for the guys who made the first avi, Blur Studios.

LOL, you should have seen my first few sketches. I had a hell of a time making her look femenine. She is a cool character though, I had a good time drawing her.

Really cool. I never could grasp the simplistic style but I love it when I see it. Very crisp and clean, really love the colours on the character also. The only thing that stands out is the X on her belly, doesn't have any curve to it and looks flat imo.

Awesome to see you posting here, Gabe! I'll add myself to the list of drooling fans and say that I love Penny Arcade...I've been reading it for around a year now...Your strip never ceases to make me laugh.

Wow,thanks everyone. I do all my pics in Photoshop 6.0 now. I start with a pencil drawing that gets scanned in. Then I "ink" it using a Wacom tablet.

hehe hey there mister gabe. I'll be honest. I never really was addicted to your strip, but when I did check it out from time to time I always got a kick out of it and would paste the link to some friends.

As for the girl - she looks like she can kick a fair amount of ass. She does look kind of masculine but so do alot of my sister's friends.
