I was working on this illustration for a story and I was using my Dad as the model, I ended up doing a portrait of my parents instead.
I'm still going to go ahead and finish up the first idea for the story, with out my mom in there.

I'm pretty sure I spent about 2-3 hours total on this. I tend to work quicker with this method. If 2-3 hours is quick I have included a full scale "nose" to show the scale I was working at.
Sorry for it being so small, it really makes the image look like crap

And here is a nose for you to pick

I'm going to print this out on rives BFK and have it framed for my fathers B-Day wich is coming up pretty soon, so any comments or suggestions would be great, I really want this to look nice.
Thanks

Thanks Synj
Here is a link to a much larger version and some close up shots.

It's a LARGE download so if you're like me and only have a dial up, get ready to wait.

LMAO! That giant nose! Classic
I already told you I liked your dad, and the new one of your mom looks great too! HAHAHAH! I bet at the Art Dept. they'd swear up and down that you wood cut, or etched it.

thanks for the comments folks,
yes, i had a horrible time getting the faces to look right, that's where most of my time was spent, those angles are impossible to work with! the foreshortening is a nightmare.

Yeah, that's the usual comment I get when i print these out on "printmaking" paper..hehehe People refuse to believe it's digital..ahahaha
speaking of that, I just got my budplant catalog in the mail the other day!!!
They have this awesome Gustave Dore book in there, it's like $110.00 though
They have some awesome books that I never knew existed or was impossible to buy! Lets see...hmm..
maya video or A.Dore book..hmmmm

Excellent work. Very Impressive. I, too didn't think it was digital. I've done some scratchboard stuff myself and I could have sworn that was what this was.

And as far as Bud Plant? I'd be in the poor house if I purchased all of the goodies I see in his catalogs

Keep up the good work!
