It rules. But where are the people?

One tiny microscopic crit - the dark wall on the left seems a little too dark for the time of day - seems like there might be more bounced light onto that surface than you are showing.

Looking forward to the next ones.

Don't change the architecture. Just add watertowers. Other than that I'm very eager to see your Harbboiled detective of the alternative 50's (Ala Mike Hammer) Seriously though, your painting reminds me of the works of Ed Hopper. Particularly "Nighthawks" Beautiful work.

Great pic. The perspective really captures your attention. Just how did you get it all to line up so well?

Hmm this pic is so very good in many ways..like the perspective it is perfect...but there is something bothering me. I just think it is the smudgyness of the surface textures ....like the left hand side of the pic did you just give up on that side because the pic really breaks down on that side...but with that said is very good at the time!! Please post more..great work with the perspective once again

Ok..went back and looked at it..one thing is that you need to take that bumper from the yellow background car and distinguish it more so it doesnt look like a shadow...it makes the illusion bogus when looking at it.

I dont know what you are doing when you are painting but the end result makes your objects in the scene look like painted clay..like in that one robin williams movie ...hmm maybe you can do something about that when you are going to finish up like using the gausin blur filter to smooth out the paint ...hmm something like that.

I studied perspective from monks in the foot hills of the Himalayas. Of course I had to lug their crap around and be their servents while learning. Oh the things they made me do. But anyway they were insane artists and they always had an endless supply of Lucky Strike cigs. The water there always gave me the squirts.

Actually I painted it like that on purpose. It's supposed to look painted not realistic.

i like it.

but, the shadow going over the car looks weird to be a shadow. looks more like the paintjob on the car. too dark? too purple, not enough blue? whatever it is, its weird.

still with the car and that shadow: maybe add some more to the top of the shadow as though there is actually something on top of that building. it being square isn't the greatest. add a bump or as Dreddawg suggested a watertower.

i like how it looks painted.

that door is very dark aswell... <--already mentioned now that i read the replys again

looks good though. must see finished!!!! weee!

excellent light, great perspective but the "life" is missing. I'd paint more of these cars. I'm thinking of the movie fifth element (german title) it shows a really busy city.
